It's really scared me..in this dengue crisis.About 14 deaths and some 5,062 cases of the mosquito-born disease so far this year. The health ministry director general, Ismail Merican said, this is the worst outbreak ever but this is not just a Malaysian problem, but a global problem. The crisis, which is centred on Kuala Lumpur and populous Selangor state surrounding the capital, compares to just five deaths and 2,855 cases in the same period a year ago.Householders were refusing to allow local authorities to enter their premises to conduct pesticide "fogging" to kill the aedes mosquito which transmits dengue fever. What i suggest is to keep their environment clean and remove rubbish and pots that collect water where mosquitoes can breed. We need to take extra caution because dengue outbreak could damage the economy by discouraging tourism and lowering productivity. So think about it!!!

HI..
As I'd promise, I will put some details of the character that I'd mention in my last entry.
Soileh. He is the main antagonist and mastermind of the conspiracy to take down Magic World. Now his only ambition is to create a perfect world in darkness. To make sure his plan succeeds, he orders his minions to capture Mineko, the prophesized saviour that contains the power of Phoenix. Helios and Soileh both share the same mind, as they were created at the same time and have the same ability (except that Soileh's power is Darkness). As Helios represents the Sun, he represents Eclipse, which bring darkness to the world.
Toroya. He is one of the three primary kids whom meet Helios and Luna 14 years ago. Heartless and cruel, he hide it behind his sinister smile. He is believed to have been destroyed by Helios's element power, but he was actually still alive and was raised by Soileh, who changed him into a Dark Magician. Because he absorbed one of Helios's element, Wood, he is capable to use the wood element as well as the element purification. He likes to wear bunny ears on his head.
Arisu. He has cold characteristic, quiet and seldom smiles. But sometimes his emotions are unstable when he meets his match. His desire to kill anyone causes him to have multiple personalities, but he usually hides it with his cold character. He absorbs one of Helios's element, Water and is able to control and produce a large amount of water which can be use as shield or weapon. His rival so far is Louis, as Louis is the only one that beat him.
Sangatsu. He absorbs one of Helios's element Wind, and capable to control wind by his will. He also one of the kids that be riseed up by soileh.
Louis or Kazura is Mineko and Tooru's best friends since little. But in reality, he is the Dark Magician sent by Dark World to kill Helios. At first, he become antagonist when he betrayed Mineko and the others in order to kill Helios. But he didn't expect that Mineko would be the savior that mention in Moragana's prophecy.

I would like to write on how to improve reading, speaking and writing in English from my experience. I am not saying that I'm 'that' good in English language, but I'm fairly good. I have observed that many people are not taking seriously about English in matriculation and university level. For those who aim higher education in overseas would stumble various problems during a presentation in English in front of foreign professors. Many Malaysian students have the same old difficulty and lack of confidence in speaking. Learning English really takes up a lot of time, especially grammar and writing skills.

To read and write, my advice is to read literature-based novels. Yes, it might be hard to understand, but by referring dictionaries often when you do not understand the hard terms would give out faster results. Olden days literature have more well formed expression and descriptive sentences. By writing blog, such as this activity, could increase your confidence in writing smoothly. Bad examples such as copying and pasting articles found in web should not be practiced because the effects would fire back, as in the expansion of vocabulary would be so limited.

In terms of speaking, I find it easier by learning through dictionary. The dictionary provides help in word pronunciation. By following the helps given in the book, it is easier to differentiate the English enunciated by Americans and British. Having friends to speak along might be helpful to elevate the speaking skills. Do not be shy when someone with a better English knowledge corrects you, because you could remember it much better as you learn from mistakes. I would like to add that applying idioms and proverbs such as 'at the eleventh hour' in daily lives may enhance your speaking skills as well. I hope this blog could motivate students in learning English much more than before.

White half-moons on the bases of our fingernails and toenails… You know about that?
Those white moons are called lunulae. The lunula is the only visible portion of the nail matrix (fluid), which produces the nail itself. The matrix and the lunula never move, but new nails continually push forward, away from the matrix. You know why lunula appears in white? The Dermatology Harry Arnold explains that the nail beds distal to the lunulae look pink because capillaries with blood in them immediately underlie the nail plate. The lunulae look white because the thin, modified epidermis of the nail bed is three or four times thicker there, being the busy factory where nail plate is manufactured. The lunula is a vascular without blood vessels, so it looks white. Interesting right? I hope you all will loves and enjoy reading about this.

Find the correct style for your hair!!! Research! Research! Research! Look everywhere from television and magazine advertisements to billboards for any hairstyles that you might fancy. Collect pictures, clippings and photographs that you like. Find out what kind of face you have- round, oval, angular, heart-shaped or square. Choose which feature of your face that you would like to minimize or emphasize. This will narrow your hairstyle choice to those that flatter your face shape or minimize certain aspects. It looks good, but does it look good on you??? Think about how much time and money that you are willing to spend on your hairstyle. Some styles might be expensive to maintain. Keep a picture of the hairstyle close and every time you see it, imagine yourself in that particular hairstyle. See if the hairstyle suits you because it might look good on others but not on you!!!

Hi..I want to talk about three years old girl and nine month old baby being raped and beaten!!!!

Last week a 3 year old girl in South Africa was beaten and raped . She is still alive. The man responsible was released on bail yesterday. He is walking the streets . It is an essential part of the justice system for children. You may have already heard that there's a myth in South Africa that having sex with a virgin will cure AIDS . The younger the virgin, the more potent the cure. This has led to an epidemic of rapes by infected males, with the correspondent infection of innocent kids. Many have died in these cruel rapes.
Recently in Cape Town , a 9-month-old baby was raped by 6 men . How pathetic is that??

Please think about that for a moment. The child abuse situation is now reaching catastrophic proportions and if we don't do something, then who will?

Taking too much Vitamin E is risky? This is the latest medical update. Researchers led by epidemiologist Edgar Miller reviewed 19 studies and found out that overdosing in vitamin E can be fatal.

Everyone knows that we need vitamin E for healthy skin and to boost our immunity. However, taking too much of it may be dangerous. Researchers found out that the risk of death increased by five percent when people took more than 400 IU of vitamin E daily. Many people take 400 to 800 IU of vitamin E daily to prevent or treat heart disease and Alzheimer’s disease.

However, vitamin E is safe in low doses. So, you can try taking multivitamin instead of only vitamin E if you are afraid of overdosing yourself. This is because multivitamin contains 30 to 60 IU of vitamin E only. Besides that, we can also get 10 to 15 IU of vitamin E from foods such as nuts, seeds, wheat germ and green leafy vegetables.

What you think when we talk about color? May be water color or rainbow? So beautiful... How about color of fruit or vegetable? Fruits and vegetables come in terrific colors and flavors, but their real beauty lies in what's inside. Fruits and vegetables are great sources of many vitamins, minerals and other natural substances that may help protect you from chronic diseases.
To get a healthy variety, think color. Eating fruits and vegetables of different colors gives your body a wide range of valuable nutrients, like fiber, folate, potassium, and vitamins A and C. Some examples include green spinach, orange sweet potatoes, black beans, yellow corn, purple plums, red watermelon, and white onions. For more variety, try new fruits and vegetables regularly.

This is true that people say live to eat. There are many who certainly put great importance to the food they eat until they have a problem with it.May people complain that they are overweight, that they have a spare tyre and how they can be slim. For most of these people who complain thus,I can see that they are the cause of their condition, and that is,they simply eat too much. But to be fair, not everyone live to eat. There are many sensible people who eat just to keep their bodies in good working order. They know the danger of obesity. They treasure their health more and thus live their lives minus the problems.

Did you know that if you consumed an average apple you would be eating over 30 pesticides, even after you have washed it? So many people like to eat organic food now.
Organic foods are produced according to certain production standards, meaning they are grown without the use of conventional pesticides, artificial fertilizers, human waste, or sewage sludge and that they were processed without ionizing radiation or food additives.
Organic food is known to contain 50% more nutrients, minerals and vitamins than produce that has been intensively farmed.
Organic facts
1. Organic food is much more rich in vitamins, minerals and fibre and retains the levels of nutrients for much longer
2. Your body will be more resistant to disease as it will have higher levels of the essential nutrients it needs to fight off infection
3. You will have more energy through consuming lower levels of toxins and chemicals that slow your body down
4. Organic food producers must meet stringent standards
5. Organic farms respect our water resources and do not leach nitrogen and other pollutants from their soil

Recently got so many people sick especially flu and fever. From the internet information, a person who has fever eat eggs will make his/her body temperature increase, is this real? Many people think that if flu or fever can eat eggs. This is because it is easy to digest, not greasy and also got nutrient so it is good for our health. But recently I saw an article from internet that if got fever eats eggs will not make you better but make you worse. Some knowledgeable people think that eggs is full of many nutrients but is cannot be eaten when you have fever especially fried egg. After eat, it will make your body temperature increase. Then when the temperature of your body cannot decrease, this will only make your fever become worse. Besides that, meat, fish or other foods which is high protein should be less eats. This is because all of those are the foods which will increase your body temperature. So, people who sick must take alert of this don’t make your sick worse. At here, I hope everyone will take care, don’t get sick especially now got midterm test. Please take alert of this!

Hello me beloved friends..now i am telling all of u about disadvantages of fast food..i know most of u are very love to eat fast food.but we must take care of our health.Fast Food in general is very unhealthy, full of saturated fat. Also it has a high sodium content, which lots of salt isn't good for you. It also can have bacteria in it, depending on who touched it and where it came from. But when they fry it, it kills all the little nutrients and bad bacteria. Just a hamburger alone is full of calories. That's why I recommend you cook home made fries and burgers. You can control what goes into it and it is much healthier and sometimes even tastes better!!fast food are that the oily food are not good for you.And the portions are way too big.keep eating like that for a month your body can change from skinny to overwieght.a restraunt that does this to you is Mcdonalds,BurgerKing,Ralleys, and A&W,ect. all theese restraunt are getting paid to kill people with there food.Besides they can cause artery clogging fat, high sodium content, questionable bacteria count (from being either handled with unclean hands or from sitting under a heat light for too long).

Do you like coconut water?
Coconut is not popular at Malaysia only, but the vegetation on the islands and coasts of the South Pacific is dominated by the coconut palm or the scientific name is Cocos nucifera. The coconuts tolerance to the salt environment and poor sandy soil is incredible. Coconuts can float for thousands of miles until they are cast up onto a sandy shore. After lying quiescent for a while, in the heat of the tropical sunshine, the coconut eventually sprouts into life. Roots sprout out of two of the eyes in the nut, plunging down into the sand, seeking water and nutrients. Through the third eye, a green shoot grows upwards towards the sunlight. Once established, the embryo palm grows rapidly, and within five to six years the coconut will have matured into a graceful palm tree.
Considered the most useful tree in the world, the coconut palm provides food, drink, clothing, shelter, heirloom history, and financial security. Hardly an inch of the coconut palm goes to waste in countries such as the Philippines where families rely on the coconut palm for survival and refer to it as the "tree of life."
-The coconut meat, the white portion of the nut, offers more than just sustenance. The coconut is considered a highly nutritious food. The white meat also contains coconut oil the tropical natives use for cooking.
-The shell, husk, roots of the tree, fronds, flowers, and wood of the trunk also become useful products. Charcoal filters used in gas masks and cigarettes are made from coconut shells that are burned, leaving pure carbon behind. Charcoal has the ability to trap microscopic particles and impurities and prevent absorption.
-Indonesian women use coconut oil as hairdressing and as a lotion for the body. They also cook with coconut oil. Coconut oil has proved itself useful in many household products. Soap made from coconut oil lathers exceptionally well. Soapmaking produces byproducts that are used by processors to make fatty acids and glycerine.
-The coconut shell serves as a bowl or cup and can be carved into other household items such as spoons, forks, combs, needles, and handles for tools.
-When the tree is no longer producing coconuts, it can be cut down and its attractive wood, called "porcupine wood" can be used to make furniture.

Halo…
Yesterday I had read an article about 10 most beautiful places around the world. I have seen a lot of picture that make me stunned because of the beauty and the peaceful of he places. Those places like a heaven, it’s seem never been touch by anyone and are very protected by the country.
One of the beauty places is The Great Barrier Reef, Australia. One of the natural wonders of the world, the Great Barrier Reef off the east coast of Australia is the world’s largest coral reef. It has the distinction of being placed in the World Heritage as well as the National Heritage lists. With more than 600 islands and coral cays, the reef covers more than 300,000 sq. km. Corals make up the several reefs and cays and are responsible for a huge variety of sea life in the reef; including green turtles, several varieties of whales and dolphins, dugong, about 4000 types of mollusc, 1500 different species of fish as well as a beautiful colored bird life with 200 species. The Great Reef Marine Park is a huge tourist attraction with more than a couple of million tourists visiting the area each year. Sporting includes activities such as reef sailing, scuba diving and snorkelling amongst several others.
I really hope that human will protect those places like the great barrier reef to ensure that wild life species will be fully protected than can protect the life cycle in human life’s.

5 Things To Do At The End Of The DAy

It does not matter if the day was great or if it was difficult. It does not matter if I wore student casual or if I was required to wear a suit. Whatever the day, whatever the attire, taking off the ‘stiff’ clothes and putting on something that is more relaxed is one of the best feelings of the day. That said, there are many things we can do home to take ‘a load off’. Here are some ideas:

1)Take a Bath: Taking a bath can provide a lot of healthful benefits, in addition to relaxation. To maximize the experience, play some soft music and light some candles (do not do this in your hostel) to set the mood. Use moisturizing bath oil(maybe you cannot practice it in the shower of hostel..hehehe) to ensure that your skin stays soft and doesn’t dry out.

2)Order-In: Cooking after a hard day at work might be the last thing you feel like doing. Treat yourself every so often to delivery or take out.(emmm)

3)Make it an Early Night: Sleep is an important part of our day. If we do not get enough, it can wreak havoc on our systems and our energy levels. Once a week, try to get into bed by 9pm for an extra good night’s.

4)Tea Time: Drink a cup of herbal tea that contains lavender and other ‘relaxing’ herbs. A good one to try is Yogi’s Bedtime tea.

5)Play with Fido: Take some time and play with a furry loved one. Whether dog, cat or even hamster(if you not have these, play with your 'mouse'), spending some quality time with a pet can lower your blood pressure and soothe your soul.

What do you do to relax after a day at lecture? Do you do any of the things mentioned?

Hello. I have read about one article in the internet. It related to the Researchers at Durham University have modified a video game and turned it into a fire drill simulator. In that article, they said their team used The Source Engine; the 3D game engine used to drive Half-Life 2, and created a virtual model of one of the university's departments. Besides, developers plan to use it to examine people's behavior in a fire and to train people in good fire practice. According to University of Florida the simulator can be adapted to mimic the interior of most buildings, although modification will be needed. On the other hand, at Durham University's Dr Shamus Smith, who helped spearhead the project, told BBC News that that while bespoke 3D modeling software was available, modifying a video game was faster, more cost effective, and had better special effects. The team at Durham says the virtual environment helped familiarize people with evacuation routines and could also help identify problems with a building's layout. By customizing a video game, a finished representation of a building could be completed in just a few weeks without needing to learn or develop additional programming skills. However, while the simulation worked for most people, those who played a lot of video games did rather unusual things. Besides that, non-gamers treated it as a more serious exercise. In other studies, gaming technology has also been adapted to simulate lab accidents, teach people about cooking safety, and to help people overcome arachnophobia.

What is NANO TECHNOLOGY....Must be you want to know it...Now i want share with you about Altair Nanotechnologies.Altair Nanotechnologies Inc. (Altairnano) of Reno, Nevada, has invented and developed a nano-structured negative electrode material called nano Lithium Titanium Oxide (nLTO) that replaces the graphite used in "standard" Li-ion batteries with safe nanomaterials. Altairnano performed "hot box" exercises on its batteries at temperatures up to 240°C - more than 100°C above the temperature where graphite-based batteries can explode - with zero explosions or safety concerns. In addition, high-rate overcharge, puncture, crush, drop and other comparative tests were also performed alongside a wide range of graphite-based battery cells with no malfunctions, explosions or safety concerns exhibited by the nLTO cells. Put to the same tests, the graphite cells routinely smoked, caught fire and exploded. In addition, the company has performed tests demonstrating more than 9,000 use cycles at charge/discharge rates at which other battery types simply cannot function, let alone charge. The nLTO-based batteries can operate at temperatures as low as -50 °C and as high as 75°C with no unsafe characteristics. "We put nLTO to a rigorous and uncompromising set of tests and the results were extremely compelling in terms of safety, performance and lifespan for enabling EV and HEV mass usage,"says Altair Nanotechnologies's CEO and President Alan J. Gotcher, Ph.D.That say from President Alan J. Gotcher about Nanotechnologies....

You know what is wikipedia itself??
Wikipedia is written collaboratively by volunteers from all around the world, anyone can edit it. Since its creation in 2001, Wikipedia has grown rapidly into one of the largest reference Web sites, attracting at least 684 million visitors yearly by 2008. There are more than 75,000 active contributors working on more than 10,000,000 articles in more than 260 languages. As of today, there are 2,728,263 articles in English. Every day, hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world collectively make tens of thousands of edits and create thousands of new articles to augment the knowledge held by the Wikipedia encyclopedia.Visitors do not need specialized qualifications to contribute, since their primary role is to write articles that cover existing knowledge. This means that people of all ages and cultural and social backgrounds can write Wikipedia articles. Most of the articles can be edited by anyone with access to the Internet, simply by clicking the edit this page link. Anyone is welcome to add information, cross-references, or citations, as long as they do so within Wikipedia's editing policies and to an appropriate standard. Substandard or disputed information is subject to removal. Users need not worry about accidentally damaging Wikipedia when adding or improving information, as other editors are always around to advise or correct obvious errors, and Wikipedia's software is carefully designed to allow easy reversal of editorial mistakes.

Because Wikipedia is an ongoing work to which, in principle, anybody can contribute, it differs from a paper-based reference source in important ways. In particular, older articles tend to be more comprehensive and balanced, while newer articles more frequently contain significant misinformation, unencyclopedic content, or vandalism. Users need to be aware of this to obtain valid information and avoid misinformation that has been recently added and not yet removed. However, unlike a paper reference source, Wikipedia is continually updated, with the creation or updating of articles on topical events within seconds, minutes, or hours, rather than months or years for printed encyclopedias. Thanks to wikipedia which has help us a lot in many ways right?

There are many benefits from eating apples. "A apple a day keeps the doctor away" has an increasing number of supportive scientific evidences for its claim. It has been found that eating apples helps to reduce blood cholesterol, improve bowel function, reduce risk of stroke, prostate cancer, Type II diabetes and asthma. This is due to the fibre and phytonutrients present in the apples.Recent researches have shown that eating apples are linked to reducing cancer risk in several studies. Some examples are :

1.Quercetin, a flavonoid abundant in apples has been found to help prevent the growth of prostate cancer cells
2.Phytonutrients in the skin of apples inhibited the growth of colon cancer cells by 43%
3.Food containing flavonoids like those in apples may reduce risk of lung cancer as much as 50%
4.Dietary phenolics such as flavonoids (found in apples) have inhibitory effects on the developments of carcinogenic substances in the bladder, thereby reducing risk of bladder cancer, especially in smokers

Moreover, eating apples could improve lung function and reduce the risk of respiratory diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) due to antioxidants present in apples that would counter the oxygen's damaging effects on the body as well as the flavonoids such as catechins (present in apples and tea).

In addition, studies have shown that a diet rich in apples could help to lower the blood cholesterol level. Pectin, a soluble fibre found in apples has been thought to play a significant role in this. In fact, apple juice has been found to inhibit the oxidation of a harm form of cholesterol (LDL, or low-density lipoprotein).

Besides therapeutic benefits, apples are also found to play a role in inhibiting ageing-related problems, preventing wrinkles and promoting hair growth (due to compound named procyanidin B-2).

For those weight-watchers, this is good new as pples are delicious source of dietary fibre and helps to aid digestion and promote weight loss.
