Today, when i accidently read about zapin in reader digest, then i've decided to write about zapin for this reading entry. Zapin is a traditional dance accompanied by music and singing, uses the voice, the gambus, violin, harmonium and accordian. Two types of drums are also used, the marwas and the dok, both double headed and cylindrical with the dok having a much longer body than the marwas. The zapin originated from the Middle East and is preserved in Malaysia in both its original form, called Zapin Arab and as Zapin Melayu which was adapted through the ages by the local Malay community.

Zapin music adheres to a fairly structured form:-
-opening section, called taksim: played by solo gambus
traditional gambus melody accompanied by rhythm on gambus and drums
-vocal melody in A B C structure alternating with kopak drum pattern, alternating until the end of the piece
-coda section, in the form of an extended kopak until the final cadence known as wainab or tahtim.

That really showed that zapin is a very beautiful ang unique traditional dance that we need to comercial it into the international level. So, that all the people around the world may also appreciate it.

Have you ever try to forgive someone if someone did something bad to you?
If you say "no" then i suggest that you should forgive him.I have read an article about forgiveness and it mention that there are top 6 reasons why you should forgive other people.
The following are the 6 reasons to forgive:
1 You will feel better and laugh more.
2 You will be healthier. Carrying negativity appears to cause many physical ills.
3 People will like you better. You will be a more enjoyable person to be around, and will attract more positive people to your life.
4 You will stop the constant suffering. Forgive others exactly because what happened was not your fault.
5 You have punished yourself long enough. Self forgiveness stops the overwhelming feelings of guilt that obstruct your happiness.
6 No one needs to know. Forgiveness happens privately, between you and God, or between you and your higher self.

No matter what you say, it is never easy to be criticized. Here are some helpful hints on how to take the heat.
Show the person doing the criticizing that you heard his or her criticism, by pausing, nodding or giving some sort of verbal acknowledgment.
Ask for more information about the criticizer's comments to give you both time to cool down. Try to look for the criticizer's positive intent.
Reply with your perspective. Remain calm, and the other person, if agitated, will eventually calm down, too; it will be embarrassing to lose his or her cool while you remain relaxed.
Listen for commonalities between your perspective and your critic's, and build from them.
Ask for comments on your viewpoint.Try rephrasing your ideas.
Demonstrate your desire to find a compromise. Look for what the criticizer's real objection is and how you can solve it; ask if he or she has a solution in mind.
Remember that you can't always please everyone. Ask yourself whether there's truth in your critic's complaints, or whether this may be someone you just can't make happy.

Do you want to look always young?.For me,not only our face must look young but our brain also have to be young forever. There are 8 Foods to Keep Your Brain Young and Healthy.
1. Fish
Protein, an important component in the making of neurotransmitters, is essential to improve mental performance. Aside from being an excellent source of high quality protein, fish are packed with essential oils, such as Omega-3, which protect the brain and supports its development and functioning. Deep sea fish have the highest amounts of fatty acids, and they include salmon, sea bass, halibut, mackerel, and sardines.

2. Blueberries
These delicious berries are full of powerful antioxidants, which eliminate free-radical damage that causes aging, and they also possess neuroprotective properties that can delay the onset of age-related memory loss by guarding brain cells from damage caused by chemicals, plaque, or trauma. And they combat inflammation, the other factor in aging.

3. Nuts and Seeds
Nuts and seeds are wonder foods for your brain. Packed with protein and essential fatty acids, nuts and seeds are also chock full of the amino arginine, which stimulates the pituitary gland at the base of the brain to release growth hormone, a substance that declines quickly after age 35; this is a real anti-aging boon to your brain!.
4. Cruciferous Vegetables
Broccoli, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts are all rich in choline, an essential nutrient for memory and brain health. Choline is a precursor to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which contributes to healthy and efficient brain processes. As we age, our body's natural choline output declines, and its neurochemical action weakens. You can eat choline-rich foods to increase your production of acetylcholine, which will improve your brain power.

Other sources of choline include: eggs, soybeans, peanuts, cabbage, black beans, and kidney beans.

5. Oil: Monounsaturated Fats
Monounsaturated fats contain essential fatty acids and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), which are crucial for brain development and function, among many other excellent benefits for your health. Olive oil, sesame oil, canola oil, almond oil, flaxseed oil, and fish oil are rich in monounsaturated fats and are good choices for brain health. Population studies show that people with a diet that is high in unsaturated, unhydrogenated fats may have a reduced risk of Alzheimer's disease, whereas those with a diet that is higher in saturated fats and trans fats have an increased risk.

6. L-carnitine Foods
Age-related memory problems are many times caused by plaque buildup and diminished blood supply to the brain, compromising the delivery of nutrients and oxygen. L-carnitine, an amino acid manufactured in your liver, increases circulation in the brain — among a myriad of powerful benefits for your health. Also, because it prevents fat oxidation in the brain, L-carnitine shows some promise in preventing Alzheimer's disease. Good sources of L-carnitine include: meats, fish, poultry, wheat, avocado, milk, and fermented soybeans.

7. Microalgae
Microalgaes from the ocean and uncontaminated lakes, including blue-green algae, spirulina, chlorella, seaweed, and kelp are easy-to-digest, high protein and high-energy supplements-and contain over a hundred trace minerals! Available in your health food store, microalgae are simple to incorporate into your diet to ensure a good, strong brain function. Look for powders you dissolve in juice or flakes you can sprinkle on your food.

8. Green Tea
Green tea prevents an enzyme found in Alzheimer's disease and is also rich in polyphenols, antioxidants that help prevent premature brain aging. Drink two cups a day to get the brain benefits. To decaf tea, steep for 45 seconds and pour out the water, add fresh hot water to the leaves or tea bag — 95% of caffeine will be eliminated.

Herbal Boost
There are many Chinese herbs that support healthy brain functions, including ginkgo biloba and gotu kola. For support of healthy brain function I recommend our family formula called Enduring Youth, which contains Chinese herbs such as Chinese yam, goji berry, schisandra berry, Asian cornelian, China root, Cistanches, sweet flag, Chinese senega, dipsacus, anise, and Chinese foxglove. For more information, click here.

I hope you get the brain benefits of these foods. I invite you to visit often and share your own personal health and longevity tips with me.

ANGER MANAGEMENT

Today i read an article about anger management. When you angry, there are some tips by Reford william to calm down.

1.If anger is a problem, let the important people in your life know about the changes you are trying to make. They can be a source of motivation and their support will help you when you lapse into old behavior patterns.

2.If another person is the source of your anger, try to see the situation from his or her perspective. Remind yourself to be objective and realize that everyone makes mistakes and it is through mistakes that people learn how to improve.

3.Angry people are often the ones who let the little things bother them. If you learn to calm down you will realize that there is no need to get uptight and you will have fewer angry episodes.

4.Angry people can be cynical people. They believe that others are going to do something on purpose to annoy or frustrate them even before it happens. If you can build trust in people you will be less likely to become angry with them when something does go wrong and more likely to attribute the problem to something other than a malicious intent.

5.Miscommunication contributes to frustrating and mistrusting situations. The better you listen to what a person is saying, the better able you will be to find a resolution that does not involve an anger response.

6.To ensure that the changes you are making go much deeper than the surface, you need to forgive the people in your life that have angered you. It is not easy letting go of past hurts and resentments but the only way to move past your anger is to let go of these feelings and start fresh. (Depending on what, or who, is at the root of your anger, you may have to solicit the help of a professional to achieve this fully........)

Here I would like to share with you the tips for grocery shopping.
As we all know,we should have a good plan before we go for shopping.

Here are some of the tips we can follow.

1) Always go with a list.
If you go without a list, you may as well just throw your money away. Seriously, though, you need to prepare a list of everything you need, pulling from your weekly menu (next tip) and checking to make sure you don’t have it in your pantry, fridge or freezer. Make sure you’re not forgetting anything. Now stick to that list.
20 Plan out a weekly menu.
This is the best way to ensure that your list is complete, and that you have enough to serve your family dinner for the week.Be sure to plan a leftovers night.
3) Don’t go when you’re hungry. This is a common tip, but it’s true: when you’re hungry, you want to buy all kinds of junk. You’ll end up spending a lot more. Eat a good meal first, and you’ll be more likely to stick to your list.
4) Have a budget. You must know exactly how much you can spend. Then try your best to stick within that limit. If you don’t know how much you can spend, you’ll certainly spend too much.
5) Do a rough running tally. Related to the above tip, if you want to stay within your budget, it’s best to know where you’re at. Then, when you can see you’re going to go above it, you can decide whether you really need that 10-lb. box of bon bons.

So,if you follow these tips, you might have a great shopping.

The Colors of the Rainbow

Sir Isaac Newton in his early physics experiments decided the colors of the rainbow were Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet. Many of us remember them as ROY G BIV. Are there only seven colors? Newton believed in numerology and thought special numbers governed all natural phenomena. Seven is a very special number. There are seven days in the week, seven openings in our head, seven seas, seven continents and many other important sevens. So, of course he found exactly seven colors. In reality, the rainbow colors unite gradually into one another. Our eyes sort them into groupings. How many colors are in the rainbow? Anywhere from three to, as many as, several thousand. It depends on who is counting and what they believe is there. Funny how what we expect to see is often what we see. The color order of the rainbow, starts with red at the outer edge and moves through the colors to violet. The brightness and the width of the bands and colors may vary greatly in an instant of time while you watch a rainbow and are related to the size of the drops that form the bow. The colors at the base of a rainbow are different from those at the top. Most rainbows only contain red near the ground. It is very rare that red is seen at the top of the rainbow. The width of the bow measured from red to violet will be about four times as wide as the full moon. The rainbow's colors are like people, I have never known two to be exactly alike. To really understand the colors of the rainbow study them closely when they appear and come to your own conclusions.

HONEY- A NATURAL HEALER

Lately I always cough especially when I drank cold drinks. I don’t want to take the cough syrup because it can make me sleepy too early. But then I remember that my mother once has said that honey can help you to heal the cough. Due to this, I was eager to prove it and finally I found an article about honey as a natural healer. According to the article, honey is one of the best natural way to treat problems related to cough and cold. It has the ability to naturally cure cough and nasal congestions along with proving helpful for asthma patients. It has also proved its value with heart related problems as heart patients are generally advised to replace white sugar with honey as the latter contains natural fructose and glucose. Besides that, honey also acts as a natural energy booster which helps in promoting the general health of a person. Instead of indulging yourself in energy drinks, one should just adopt the healthy habit of taking honey as the latter is the most natural and the purest item which acts as a natural source of energy provider along with providing various healing effects. It is a boon for people with weak digestion as honey is a predigested sugar which makes it easy to be digested and absorbed by the body. Not only that, honey also acts as a good source for multi-vitamins and it has been found that a teaspoon of honey every day aids in calcium utilization by the body thereby reducing the risk of osteoporosis. Thus it has solved my calcium problems since I cannot drink milk either.

After read an article about a closer look at…microbes from Strengthen your immune system.
From my understand, I want to share it to everyone. I want to continue what I have share previous entries. Everywhere we go, we run the risk of encountering one or another of the germs that can make we sick.
• PARASITIES: Any organism that survives by living off a host is called a parasite. Parasites able to latch onto humans vary from tiny single-celled creatures, such as the protozoan Giardia lamblia, to tapeworms 9 m long. These nasty creatures can induce a range of healthy problems, including rashes, fever, nausea, cramps, diarrhea and miscarriage. Many of the most common parasites are transmitted through food and water. ~ Giardia lamblia, magnified 1979 times.
• MOULDS: The airborne spores of these simple plants can cause a variety of inflection when they are inhaled into lungs or gain a foothold in other dark, warm places, such as the mouth, vagina or skin folds. Although these inflection tend to strike people with compromised immune system, they can also occur in people with seemingly normal immune system and some types are very widespread. A study by the Mayo Clinic, for example, pinpointed moulds as the cause of many chronic sinus infections. ~ Aspergillus (common bread mould), magnified 514 times.

Commonly mooncake are round or rectangular pastries. It measures about 10 cm in diameter and 4-5 cm thick. A thick filling usually made by lotus seed paste is surrounded by thin crust and contain yolks from salted duck eggs. Mooncakes are rich, dense and heavy compared with the western cakes. They are commonly ate in small wedges accompanied by Chinese tea.
Many types of filling moon cakes can be found at the market nowadays which is Lotus seed paste, Sweet bean paste, Jujube paste, Five kernel, Taro paste and Salt and pepper.
Modern mooncakes resembles the traditional type although with certain modification. Traditional mooncakes are made with lard and lot of sugar. The other reason why traditional mooncake has undergone a successful diversification is because of the popularity. It has become more popular because of many mooncakes are bought by businessman who give them to their clients as presents.
Today, in Malaysia, Mooncakes are also popular and common among the other ethnics such as Malay and Indian. So, it is not weird or strange when we will see the other ethnics eat the mooncake.

A computer is a machine that manipulates data according to a list of instructions.

The first devices that resemble modern computers date to the mid-20th century (1940–1945), although the computer concept and various machines similar to computers existed earlier. Early electronic computers were the size of a large room, consuming as much power as several hundred modern personal computers(PC).[1] Modern computers are based on tiny integrated circuits and are millions to billions of times more capable while occupying a fraction of the space.[2] Today, simple computers may be made small enough to fit into a wristwatch and be powered from a watch battery. Personal computers, in various forms, are icons of the Information Age and are what most people think of as "a computer"; however, the most common form of computer in use today is the embedded computer. Embedded computers are small, simple devices that are used to control other devices — for example, they may be found in machines ranging from fighter aircraft to industrial robots, digital cameras, and children's toys.

The ability to store and execute lists of instructions called programs makes computers extremely versatile and distinguishes them from calculators. The Church–Turing thesis is a mathematical statement of this versatility: any computer with a certain minimum capability is, in principle, capable of performing the same tasks that any other computer can perform. Therefore, computers with capability and complexity ranging from that of a personal digital assistant to a supercomputer are all able to perform the same computational tasks given enough time and storage capacity.
