Hi..Today i want to talk about friend.

A friend is like a flower or
a rose to be exact.
A friend maybe like a brand new gate that never comes unlatched.
A friend is like an owl, but beautiful and wise.
Perhaps a friend is like a ghost, whose spirit never dies.
A friend is like those blades of grass you can never mow, standing straight, tall, and proud in a perfect little row.
A friend is like a heart that goes
strong until the end.
A friend will happy when we are having a lot of fun and sad together when we are in trouble.
Have a best friends is already enough than a thousand of friends.

Where would we be in this world if we didn't have a friend?

Earphones worn inside the ear are worse for hearing compared to the regular ones. It can happen if the music you are listening to is too loud. This is because these earphones sit closer to your eardrum so they may create more sound pressure than traditional earphones, therefore increasing the risk of damage.

If you hear ringing in your ears after listening, you have probably overdone it. Usually this problem will subside but listening to loud music regularly with any type of headset could lead to permanent hearing loss.

Recently, research suggests limiting the usage of earphones to one hour or less a day at no more than 60 percent volume. Finally, most important is that never fall asleep with them on.

Hi...For this entry i would like to share the most popular disease in Malaysia. Diabetes. What is Diabetes? For our body to work properly, we need to consume sugar which is then converted into energy. To convert the sugar (glucose) into energy, a hormone called insulin is needed. People with diabetes have an important role in their own medical care, and self-monitoring is an opportunity for people with diabetes to take control on their health and lives. With diabetes, insulin that is produced by our pancreas is not working properly or no longer produced in sufficient amounts. When this happens, our blood sugar level rises. People with diabetes have an important role in their own medical care, and self-glucose monitoring is an opportunity for people with diabetes to take control of their health. This is just an introduction about diabetes. I will continue about the types and symptoms of diabetes in my next entry. Wait for it!

Why fast foods are bad, even in moderation?

Eating a diet consisting largely of fast food could cause your waistline to bulge more than eating the same amount of fat from healthier sources.

Trans-fats, or partially hydrogenated oils, are found in many fast foods and also in baked goods and processed snacks. They dramatically increase the risk of heart disease - even more than saturated fats found in animal products.

Kylie Kavanagh, wondered how this "killer fat" would affect the risk of diabetes in 51 vervet monkeys. She fed one group of monkeys a diet where 8% of their daily calories came from trans-fats and another 27% came from other fats. This is comparable to people who eat a lot of fried food. A different group of monkeys was fed the same diet, but the trans-fats were substituted for mono-unsaturated fats, found in olive oil, for example.

Both groups ate the same total calories, which were carefully metered to be just enough for subsistence. After six years on the diet, the trans-fat-fed monkeys had gained 7.2% of their body weight, compared to just 1.8% in the unsaturated group.

Next type of friendship is Casual relationship or "Friends with benefits": the sexual or near-sexual and emotional relationship between two people who don't expect or demand to share a formal romantic relationship. In the U.S., this is considered "a fling".
Boston marriage: a term used in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries to denote two women that lived together in the same household independent of male support. Relationships were not necessarily sexual. It was used to quell fears of lesbians after World War I.
Blood brother or blood sister: may refer to people related by birth, or a circle of friends who swear loyalty by mingling the blood of each member together.
Open relationship: a relationship, usually between two people, that agree each partner is free to have sexual intercourse with others outside the relationship. When this agreement is made between married couples, it's called an open marriage.
Roommate: a person who shares a room or apartment (flat) with another person and do not share a familial or romantic relationship.
Imaginary friend: a non-physical friend created by a child. It may be seen as bad behavior or even taboo (some religious parents even consider their child to be possessed by an evil spirit), but is most commonly regarded as harmless, typical childhood behavior. The friend may or may not be human, and commonly serves a protective purpose.
Spiritual friendship: the old Buddhist ideal of kalyana-mitra, that is a relationship between friends with a common interest, though one person may have more knowledge and experience than the other. The relationship is the responsibility of both friends and both bring something to it.
One thing I feel needs to be said is that there are many other relationships that aren’t friendship that are still positive. There are many people I admire who aren’t friends. I work with lots of people who aren’t friends.

This time my topic is “Outsmart Your Fat Hormones”. I would like to share it to everyone especially girls. Those chemical messengers that spur your cells into action also determine the way you store or burn off fat. Trick your hormones into doing things your way and lose all the weight you want! There are a few ways you need to do. First, tame your sweet tooth. You should less eat sugar-filled foods like cookies, cakes and others. It’s better to make sure your diet’s rich in foods like whole wheat bread, brown rice and multigrain pasta, which contain complex carbohydrates. Second, do not cut too much calories. You should not let yourself too hungry. Once that happens, your metabolism slows, and the chemical leptin which regulates appetite and stops signaling your brain that you have enough fat. Then you will go into fat-storing mode. Third, eat every few hours. When you skip meals or wait too long in between, the levels of the appetite-stimulating hormone ghrelin start to rise. You need to eat foods that will make your belly feel full. When the stomach fibers are stretched, ghrelin levels go down. Fourth, you should stress less. Any type of stress will releases cortisol, a fat-storing hormone. Lastly, you should get plenty of rest. Serotonin is the chemical responsible for your overall sense of well-being and growth hormone. They do their best work during your first two hours of deep sleep.

assalamualaikum...and hi to everyone..PENGUINs is one of the species which are facing the danger of extinction...not all of us know well about them...

Their hesitant waddle on land, however, belies a penguin's ability in the water...With streamlined bodies, a thick coat that keeps out the cold and repels water, and flipperlike wings, naturally penguins spend most of their lives in the water....Penguins breed in colonies, and males and females take turns tending to the one or two eggs that are laid per season...While the off-duty parent goes in search of food, the guardian parent supports the egg between the top of its feet and a thick fold of skin that hangs from its belly to keep the incubating egg warm...

don't you know that the largest penguin is the emperor penguin and is recognizable, not only by its nearly 4-foot height, but by the yellow, gray and black markings of the upper body and wings. The little penguin is the smallest of its kind at barely 16 inches high...Penguins preen their feathers meticulously to maintain insulation and waterproofing...A gland near the penguin's tail secretes oil into its feathers, which the bird will spread thoroughly while preening...

in my next entry, i'll tell you about the interesting facts of this 'cute' species..happy reading!!!

Hi..
Do you know about silat?? Let me tell you a little bit about silat. Silat is an umbrella term used to describe the martial art forms practiced throughout the Malay Archipelago. Internationally it is now called Pencak Silat. Silat is a combative art of fighting and survival and it has been evolved in Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam civilizations for centuries into social culture and tradition. During the colonization era, both in Malaysia and Singapore as British Colonies and in Indonesia as Dutch colonies, practitioners (locally known as pesilat) used the martial art as a form to liberate from foreign authorities. Silat began spreading throughout the Malay Archipelago in the seventh century AD, but its origin is still uncertain. Silat has been acknowledged as a genuine Malay art. Malay people that have inhabited coastal cities of Sumatra island and Malay peninsula, from Aceh in the north to Kelantan, Kedah and Riau archipelago in the south, practiced silat. Contacts with other ethnic groups in the coastal cities had also influenced silat. There is evidence that Chinese and Indian culture influenced the martial art forms. When Islam spread throughout the archipelago in the fourteenth century, it was taught alongside silat. Silat became a spiritual training as well as being a combat art and folk dance.

STUDENT'S ABROAD :A POLICIES CHANGE WOULD HELP.This is another article news that i read online. What can i see is that there must be something wrong in our system when our scholars are not returning home to serve the government after graduation from foreign universities. The government is still dragging its feet on how to recover the funds. Do we need to impose such heavy penalties to entice them to come home?Malaysia is a beautiful country. We do not have natural disasters. Foreigners like it here. Strangely, our scholars do not like it here. The government is paying a heavy price for its wrong policies. We must rebrand our economic models as we are losing our best brains to other countries. We should work hard at improving this feeling of being Malaysian and not harping on issues that polarise people.

We need to focus on efforts to help national integration. Rewards should be given to the good workers irrespective of race and religion.

If we do it right, the best and brightest students will not be denied scholarships and other academic opportunities.

Then we should have them coming home in droves because there is a bright future for everyone.

Music To baby.....
After the human voice, music is the original interactive medium. Today, it remains the most beneficial learning resource for baby. For maximum brain development, babies require appropriate stimulation. Care must be taken to avoid over-stimulation, as this could lead to later problems. Providing high-quality, age-appropriate music is the best way to give baby the proper start in life.
Research that was conducted revealed many women play music - on a daily basis - while pregnant (especially during the third trimester.) Respondents explained the soothing sounds diminished the stress they were constantly experiencing. Medical research shows reducing a pregnant woman's stress not only helps her, it also has positive effects on the fetus, making for a healthier birth.

On 20 February, I join Pembimbing Rakan Sisaw (PERSIS) camping organize by JHEPA at Ulu Yam, Selangor. It was a memorable camping I ever participate. We have many interesting activities. The most interesting activities were paintball game. It was actually my first time playing paintball. So, after I come back to collage, I have search in internet about paintball game.
Paintball is a game in which players eliminate opponents by hitting them with pellets containing paint that why, we referred it as a "paintball" usually shot from a carbon dioxide or compressed-gas powered paintball marker. Marker is the term we used to call a gun in paintball.
Games can be also played either indoors or outdoors and take various forms, of which some of the most popular are woodsball, scenario, X-Ball and speedball. Rules for playing paintball vary widely, with most designed to ensure that participants enjoy the sport in a safe environment. The sport requires a significant amount of equipment. In my camping, we play paintball in the scenario condition. We must hide and sick behind the tree to avoid opponent’s attacks.
A game of paintball usually involves two opposing teams seeking to eliminate all of the other team's players or to complete some other objective, such as retrieving a flag, eliminating a specific player, or other paintball variations. Depending on the style of paintball played, a paintball game can last from seconds to hours. In my camping, we used flag as our objective. My group win the first round, but we couldn’t make it at the second round. But I have no regret nor disappointed because I take this competition as a way to release tension and to have some fun.
I suggest to Miss Sarah who read my comment in this entry, and my other friends to try to paly paintball. It was fun and we can make it as our hobby.

HISTORY OF THE CALENDAR

The purpose of the calendar is to count past or future time, to show how many days until a certain event takes place—the harvest or a religious festival—or how long since something important happened. The earliest calendars must have been strongly influenced by the geographical location of the people who made them. In colder countries, the concept of the year was determined by the seasons, specifically by the end of winter. But in warmer countries, where the seasons are less pronounced, the Moon became the basic unit for time counting; an old Jewish book says that “the Moon was created for the counting of the days.”

Most of the oldest calendars were lunar calendars, based on the time interval from one new moon to the next that called lunation. But even in a warm climate there are annual events that pay no attention to the phases of the Moon. In some areas it was a rainy season; in Egypt it was the annual flooding of the Nile River. The calendar had to account for these yearly events as well.

Pepper? What is pepper? Pepper is other hot, spicy foods that make us wince, make us gasp for air and make us pour huge quantities of cold liquids down our throats. Why does pepper make us sneeze? Do you know why? The essential oils was found in pepper are the culprit. These oils, which can be extracted from the berries of the pepper plant, which are used by food processors to flavor sausages, sauces, salad dressings, processed meats and many other foods. The major culprit is piperine, a chemical found in black and white pepper. Thomas F Burns, Executive Vice-President of the American Spice Trade Association, explains that “Piperine provides the pleasant biting sensation that accompanies the aroma to the mouth when it is tasted. Since piperine bites the toungue, it obviously also bites the delicate membranes of the nose.” Burns suggest that “Pepper should be smelled, not sniffed. Its delicate aroma is one of its great attributes and can only be appreciated when inhaled slowly.”

hello...now i want share what im read just now...its about take note:dooling can help memory...You might look like you're not paying attention when you doodle, but science says otherwise.Researchers in the United Kingdom found that test subjects who doodled while listening to a recorded message had a 29 percent better recall of the message's details than those who didn't doodle. The findings were published in Applied Cognitive Psychology.from the researced,Professor Jackie Andrade say from what he do experiment,a two-and-a-half minute listing of several people's names and places was played for test subjects, who were charged with writing down only the names of the people said to be attending a party. During the recording, half the participants were asked to simultaneously shade in shapes on a piece of paper without attention to neatness. Participants were not told they were taking part in a memory test. When the recording ended, all were asked for the eight names of those attending the party as well as eight place names mentioned in the audio. Those asked to doodle wrote down, on average, 7.5 names and places, while those who didn't doodle listed only 5.8."In psychology, tests of memory or attention will often use a second task to selectively block a particular mental process," Andrade said. "If that process is important for the main cognitive task, then performance will be impaired. My research shows that beneficial effects of secondary tasks, such as doodling, on concentration may offset the effects of selective blockade."In everyday life, Andrade said, doodling "may be something we do because it helps to keep us on track with a boring task, rather than being an unnecessary distraction that we should try to resist doing."So from that it can help us to how to help our memory...

Hello again,.let me show you the main part of mature flower or whorls (starting from the base of the flower or lowest node and working upwards) are as follows:

Calyx: the outer whorl of sepals; typically these are green, but are petal-like in some species.

Corolla: the whorl of petals, which are usually thin, soft and colored to attract insects that help the process of pollination.

Androecium (from Greek andros
oikia: man's house): one or two whorls of stamens, each a filament topped by an anther where pollen is produced. Pollen contains the male gametes.

Gynoecium (from Greek gynaikos oikia: woman's house): one or more pistils. The female reproductive organ is the carpel: this contains an ovary with ovules (which contain female gametes). A pistil may consist of a number of carpels merged together, in which case there is only one pistil to each flower, or of a single individual carpel (the flower is then called apocarpous). The sticky tip of the pistil, the stigma, is the receptor of pollen. The supportive stalk, the style becomes the pathway for pollen tubes to grow from pollen grains adhering to the stigma, to the ovules, carrying the reproductive material.

I would like to write about my passion for classical music. It was my hobby when I was small, but soon after several years of practicing piano until grade 4, I quit. That decision was my utmost regret, because I have never realised that music is my passion after computer. I usually take piano lessons under Yamaha music center in Bangsar Shopping Centre (BsC). I was so frustrated before that I wanted to quit my piano lessons so badly because of the complex key notes and having a hard time memorizing the melody to sit for the exam grading.

Unconsciously, I found myself buying the classical music CDs and listened to them almost everyday. I even sneaked at midnight to the music room, with the excuse of being unable to sleep. I'm now 19, but I think that it is too late for me to continue till grade 8. Listening to classical musics from Gavotte, Mozart, Bach, Brahms an even Schubert had made me sentimental and able to think calmly. The effect of this music affects my mentality. I have decided to let my future generation to learn either violin or piano.

It was stated even in medical reports that listening to classical orchestra while pregnant of a baby could result a smart person in future. I also enjoyed listening them while memorizing my Biology notes when I was in college, and it worked well. My brain worked faster after that. I should not have quit my piano lessons, because I did not know there are positive points in learning them.

Assalamualaikum to all. Last weekend i feel so sad with some of my classmate that act to be self fish and do not appreciate on other effort. It is really hurt me than i get this from internet and i found that these is really works. Please check this out "How to Be Happy During Sad Times"

Everyone has times when things are not going well. It could be that you have experienced a loss or a disappointment, that work or school is not going so well, or simply that your relationship is going through a rocky patch. These tips are for when you are feeling down. If you suspect you have clinical depression you should consult a doctor.

These are the step:

1. Talk to someone like a school counseler, parent, spouse, or a friend. Often the things that are worrying or depressing us seem worse when we hold them inside. the very act of talking about them can make them seem smaller and less significant. Also, remembering that the people around us really care is very cheering.
2. Draw a picture of your feelings. It's a good way to vent negative feelings without hurting anyone else around you. It really doesn't matter whether you are any good at art or not - the idea is to let go of the thoughts and ideas that are building up inside you.
3. Write a list of your "blessings". Writing down everything you have to feel glad about might sound a bit "Pollyanna-ish" but it does sometimes put our woes in perspective.
4. Find your "Happy Place". Close your eyes and picture a place where you were very happy. Try to remember how you felt there. Remembering a time when you felt content and at ease will remind you that this period of your life will pass and you will feel happy again.
5. Get out and about. Don't sit at home moping, this will get you nowhere - going out and getting some fresh air will take your mind off feeling glum.
6. Exercise. Exercising releases chemicals in your brain which lift your mood. Go for a run, a swim, take a walk or go to the gym - whatever takes your fancy.
7. If you can play any instrument, you could play it.It may work, distracting you from the sad minds. It`s kind of "Killing Sadness"

So, choose which style is comfort you.

The lion (Panthera leo) is a member of the family Felidae and one of four big cats in the genus Panthera. With exceptionally large males exceeding 250 kg (550 lb) in weight,it is the second-largest living cat after the tiger. Wild lions currently exist in Sub-Saharan Africa and in Asia with a critically endangered remnant population in northwest India, having disappeared from North Africa, the Middle East, and Western Asia in historic times. Until the late Pleistocene (about 10,000 years ago), the lion was the most widespread large land mammal beside humans[citation needed]. They were found in most of Africa, much of Eurasia from western Europe to India and, in the Americas, from the Yukon to Peru.Should they survive the rigors of cubhood, lionesses in secure habitat such as Kruger National Park may frequently reach an age of 12–14 years whereas lions seldom live for longer than 8 years. However, there are records of lionesses living for up to 20 years in the wild. In captivity both male and female lions can live for over 20 years. They typically inhabit savanna and grassland, although they may take to bush and forest. Lions are unusually social compared to other cats. A pride of lions consists of related females and offspring and a small number of adult males. Groups of female lions typically hunt together, preying mostly on large ungulates. The lion is an apex and keystone predator, although they will resort to scavenging if the opportunity arises. While lions, in general, do not selectively hunt humans, some have been known to become man-eaters and seek human prey.
