Hi..I would like to talk about the making of Orkut.A guy lost his girlfriend in a train accident, but the girl's name appeared nowhere in the dead list. Then, this guy grew up and became IT technical architect in his late 20's.He hired developers from the whole globe and plan to make a software where he could search for his girlfriend through the web. Things went as planned, and he found her, after losing millions of dollars and three long years!!
It was time to shut down the search operation, when the CEO of Google had a word with this guy and took over this application.
This Software made a whopping one billion dollars profit in its first year, which we today know as ORKUT. The guy's name is ORKUT BUYUKKOTEN and its named after him only. Today he is paid a hefty sum by Google for the things we do like scrapping. He is expected to b the richest person by 2009..

Cool right??

I've read an article in the internet, about anxiety and stress.According to MIND, 45 million working days are lost each year through anxiety and stress-related conditons.Anxiety is an unpleasant feeling of fear and apprehension. Normally anxiety can be useful, helping us to avoid dangerous situations, making us alert and giving us the motivation to deal with problems. However, if the feelings become too strong or go on for too long, they can stop us from doing the things we want to, making our lives miserable.

Psychological symptoms:
Anger,Fear of madness,Fear of impending death,Feelings of being outside yourself,Feeling cut off from reality,Worried all the time,Tiredness,Irritability,Poor memory,Sleeping badly and Inability to concentrate.

Physical symptoms:Abdominal discomfort,Breathingheavily,Diarrhoea,Difficulty swallowing,Dizziness
Faintness,Frequent urinating,Headaches,Indigestion,Muscle tension and pains,Racing heart
Sweating,Tightness or pain in chest and Tingling finger tips.
It is quite normal to feel anxious when you are facing something dangerous or difficult, but it is not usual to feel anxious all the time or to feel that anxiety is ruling your life. Extreme anxiety is manifested as phobias, panic attacks or obsessive compulsive disorder.
Severe anxiety is similar to a 'false alarm'. Our bodies over-react, and respond with anxiety to something that is not threatening. It can happen if we exaggerate the danger in our minds; if we are under stress; or when we start thinking about past difficulties. Severe anxiety doesn't just fade away; it can be so unpleasant that you begin to find ways of avoiding the situation or event that makes you feel so bad. Every time you succeed in avoiding the event your anxiety level drops and so in the short term you feel better. However long term you can become a recluse, avoiding any situation that may evoke anxiety and never knowing whether that danger was all in your mind.

Please reduce your salt intake. Even if you rarely season your food with it, you still might be consuming too much salt. This is due to the processed foods that most of us eat double the upper limit of salt and therefore raising the risk of hypertension, heart attack, stroke, kidney disease and even stomach cancer.

The Institute of Medicine (IOM) has issued new guidelines. The percent daily value of sodium on nutrition labels is based on an upper limit of 2400mg a day. The new recommended amount is 1500mg for healthy 9-50 years old and even less for others. However, food labels may not reflect this change. So, try to look for low-sodium eats and cut back on foods such as processed meat, dressings and canned soups.

Develop the Self-Confidence You Deserve!

From the quietly confident doctor whose advice we rely on, to the star-quality confidence of an inspiring speaker, self-confident people have qualities that everyone admires.
Self-confidence is extremely important in almost every aspect of our lives, yet so many people struggle to find it. Sadly, this can be a vicious circle: People who lack self-confidence can find it difficult to become successful.
After all, most people are reluctant to back a project that's being pitched by someone who was nervous, fumbling and overly apologetic.
On the other hand, you might be persuaded by someone who spoke clearly, who held his or her head high, who answered questions assuredly, and who readily admitted when he/she did not know something.
Self-confident people inspire confidence in others: Their audience, their peers, their bosses, their customers, and their friends. Gaining the confidence of others is one of the key ways in which a self-confident person finds success.
The good news is that self-confidence really can be learned and built on. And, whether you’re working on your own self-confidence or building the confidence of people around you, it’s well-worth the effort! All other things being equal, self-confidence is often the single ingredient that distinguishes a successful person from someone less successful.

Do you know that unwanted hair can be removed safely and effectively?

Laser hair removal isn't just for the rich and famous. LASER hair removal is readily available to the common person.

If you are sick of shaving, waxing, and tweezing, laser hair removal may be the solution you are looking for.

Laser hair removal is a fairly quick and painless procedure when you find a reputable and experienced clinic. Below is some information that will help you to decide whether or not permanent hair removal is right for you.

1. Laser hair removal is used for the quick, gentle removal of unwanted hairs. The laser works by sending a pulsating beam of light across the desired area. The light passes directly through the skin, but is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle and shaft. Once absorbed by laser light, the hair is impaired from future growth.

2.Because this is a form of medical care, it is important to seek out a clinic with the highest quality. Look for a clinic that gives individual attention and personalized care.

If you are looking for permanent hair removal, this may be the perfect solution to the unending tweezing, waxing, and shaving.

Today, I will tell about cultural variation of friendship in Rome. During the time of the Roman Empire, Cicero had his own beliefs on friendship. Cicero believed that in order to have a true friendship with someone there must be all honesty and truth. If there isn’t, then this isn’t a true friendship. In that case, friends must be one hundred percent honest with each other and put one hundred percent of their trust in the other person. Cicero also believed that for people to be friends with another person, they must do things without the expectation that their friend will have to repay them. He also believes that if a friend is about to do something wrong, and something that goes against your morals, you shouldn’t compromise your morals. You must explain why what they are going to do is wrong, and help them to see what the right thing to do is, because Cicero believes that ignorance is the cause of evil. Finally the last thing that Cicero believed was that the reason that a friendship comes to an end is because one person in that friendship has become bad. (On Friendship, Cicero)

Hi...For the third entry of February I would like to start with one of the six tips to lift your energy and well-being reserves. Energy booster. Discover the 'superfoods'.'Superfoods' are nutrient-dense foods that provide essential vitamins and minerals for good health, vitality and longevity. The secret to include superfoods in your diet is to eat 'rainbows'! Some of these are as follows: Bluberries, deliver high levels of antioxidants called anthocyanins that help prevent blood clotting, protect body cells and have anti-inflammatory actions. Spinach, contains Vitamin K, anti-oxidants and folate which is important for women planning a pregnancy and improving heart health. Higher lutein and zeaxanthin intakes have been associated with a lowered risk of macular degeneration, a leading cause of blindness. Kiwifruits high in vitamin C, vitamin E, potassium, zinc, magnesium and dietary fibre, as well as powerful anti-oxidants. Other foods includes tomatoes, sweet potatoes, broccolis and mangoes. Oats, the perfect breakfast food! Oats are rich in beta-glucan, a soluble fibre which helps lower cholesterol, control blood sugar level and allows your stomach to feel satisfied longer. Assalamualaikum~
i have watch the movie The Changeling (1980), an oldie but a goodie. George C. Scott plays John Russell, a composer and music professor who loses his wife and daughter in a tragic accident. Seeking solace, he moves into an old mansion that had been unoccupied for 12 years. A child-like presence seems to be sharing the house with him, however, and trying to share its secrets with him. By researching the house's past he discovers its horrific secret of long ago, a secret that the presence will no longer allow to be kept. It has almost a timeless quality about it, where even though it was made in 1980 its not cheesy and riddled with silly special effects. The wheelchair in it always creeped me out. I remember watching it years ago but I didn't recall all the details. I wasn't feeling well tonight so I felt like watching something different although now I think I may need watch something funny so I don't have any bad dreams...zombie movies don't freak me out, but ones with supernatural stuff do a little. Imagine being in an old house, hearing weird noises...may creep you out too.

Hi..
I believe-
that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.
I believe-
that no matter how good a friend is,they're going to hurt you every
once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
I believe-
that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance.Same goes for true love.
I believe-
that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
I believe-
that it's taking me a long time
to become the person I want to be.
I believe-
that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
I believe-
that you can keep going
long after you can't.
I believe-
that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
I believe-
that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I believe-
that regardless of how hot and
steamy a relationship is at first,
the passion fades and there had
better be something else to take
its place.
I believe-
that heroes are the people
who do what has to be done
when it needs to be done,
regardless of the consequences.
I believe-
that money is a lousy way of keeping score.
So will you believe me?

What do you know about vitamin A???
Vitamin A which is a fat-soluble vitamin plays an important role in bone growth, reproduction, immune function, and hormone synthesis. It is good especially for your eyes. It can help them convert light into brain signals that allow you to perceive images. Vitamin A works to protect you against infection by helping create healthy white blood cells and by promoting healthy skin. Vitamin A is found in foods of animal origin, such as liver, eggs, milk fortified with vitamin A, fortified cereals and fish while vitamin A in the form of carotenoids can be found in green leafy vegetables and orange vegetables and fruit. Since vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin, it can be stored in the body. Thus, a healthy adult who stopped eating good food sources of the vitamin might not see deficiency symptoms until these stores were depleted and it is possibly for several months. Besides that, getting too much vitamin A may also result in reduced bone mineral density, which can lead to osteoporosis.

Why do we smile??????

We have all been smiling essentially since birth. There are several theories as to why humans smile.
-humans started smiling when they felt threatened, not when they were happy. Some primates display this type of behavior, pulling back their lips to show their teeth. This type of smile, in primates, is thought to mean that the smiler is frightened and is trying to convince the attacker to leave them alone.
-Smiling may also be important for finding a mate. Humans tend to think people are more attractive when they are smiling and a smile invites others to approach you. A smile also indicates a certain level of interest and people typically think someone is more interesting if that person seems interested in them as well.
-When we greet someone, we are supposed to smile at them. Smiling exhibits our kindness and openness to relate to another person. When I frown I close my mouth tightly; I hide my teeth. I am saying that I do not wish to open myself or my wisdom up to anyone. But when I smile, I say to my fellow man, "Yes, I want to get to know you. I want to share my wisdom, my insights, my personal contributions to this world with you.

So,keep smiling and smiling. But don't smiling all the time until people think that you are crazy.

Hello for everyone....now I would like to share about migraine. Do you now be detail about migraine?? A migraine is a common type of headache that may occur with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or sensitivity to light. In many people, a throbbing pain is felt only on one side of the head.

Migraines occur more often in women than men. Pregnancy may reduce the number of migraines attacks. At least 60 percent of women with a history of migraines have fewer such headaches during the last two trimesters of pregnancy.

Migraine headache may be diagnosed by your doctor based on your symptoms, history of migraines in the family, and your response to treatment. Your doctor will take a detailed history to make sure that your headaches are not due to tension, sinus inflammation, or a more serious underlying brain disorder. During the physical exam, your doctor will probably not find anything wrong with you.

For the treatment here is no specific cure for migraine headaches. The goal is to prevent symptoms by avoiding or altering triggers. When you do get migraine symptoms, try to treat them right away. The headache may be less severe. So, you must to prevent this sympthom and get to be detailed about it.

The young Irwin accompanied his father on expeditions in the Outback to trap lizards, poisonous snakes, and crocodiles, and he helped to nurse and rehabilitate the injured or abandoned kangaroos, wallabies, and birds that the park took in.In the early 1970s Irwin accompanied his father on expeditions for the East Coast Crocodile Management Program, a government-sponsored project to reduce crocodile hunting by relocating the animals to less-populated areas or to sanctuaries, including the Beerwah park. Hi! It’s me again. Today I will share about something that I am really sure that everyone will like to do. My question is do you want to tone up your tummy? Of course you want right? Here are the quick and convenient ways to flatten your stomach. First, lie on the floor with your legs bent, your feet flat on the floor. Then, place your hands on the back of your head, or you can cross them over your chest like an Egyptian mummy. Next, lift your shoulder blades off the ground, moving your elbows towards your knees. After that, squeeze your abs for a second. Finally, slowly return to the starting position. Remember to breathe out when raising your body up, and breathe in on the way down. Try it by yourself ok…

Suppose you are designing your dream house. What will it look like? What do you want to include in it? And where do you want to locate it?
Many people have their own imaginary house inside their minds. Imaginary homes contain some aspects that people have always wanted. Also, idealistic things can be included in the house. It could be a tall and big building in the middle of the city. Or, it could be a small house in the quiet countryside with no modern things included. What is your imaginary house? I will describe my own imaginary house, including external appearance, location, and interior aspects.
My imaginary house looks like a building that has been never made before. It has the unique shape of a pile of white cubes, irregularly organized. Each cube contains one room, and a glass cylinder connects them. Also, the roof is made out of glass, which allows me to see the sky conveniently, without the necessity of going out to see it. Also, it would be a good substitute for light in the house. When I am not in the mood for watching the sky, or when the sky is dark, I could just press a button and the slide curtains could close off the window. The reason that I have made this original shaped building is that I don’t want a house that looks too dull or has a common shape. I always want to make something unique that separates me from the same kind of look. Therefore, I chose this unique kind of shape.

hi...yesterday i have a read one yahoo discovery answer. The question is about how dangerous is cholestrol to our health?

So, the best answer that voter vote is explain about High cholestrol and Low cholestrol. Because both of it are dangerous to our health.

HIGH CHOLESTEROL
When you have too much cholesterol, it can be dangerous to your health. When cholesterol levels are high, cholesterol is deposited on the walls of arteries and forms a hard substance called plaque. Over time, plaque causes the arteries to become narrower, decreasing blood flow and causing a condition called atherosclerosis (pronounced: ah-thuh-ro-skluh-ro-sis), or hardening of the arteries.
When atherosclerosis affects the coronary arteries (the blood vessels that supply the muscles of the heart), the condition is called coronary artery disease, which puts a person at risk for having a heart attack. When atherosclerosis affects the blood vessels that supply the brain, the condition is called cerebral vascular disease, which puts a person at risk of having a stroke. Atherosclerosis may also block blood flow to other vital organs, including the kidneys and intestines. This is why it's so important to start paying attention to cholesterol levels as a teen - you can delay or prevent serious health problems in the future.

LOW CHOLESTEROL
Having a very low cholesterol could mean that you are not eating enough food which inturn causes disease. It is more safer to have low cholesterol but its best to get a doctors opinion incase theres any underlying problems. A simple blood test will determin this.

So, actually people can take cholestrol but it must in small quatity.

Hi everyone,..
Do u like flower? what do u know about flower?, let me tell you.A flower, sometimes known as a bloom or blossom, is the reproductive structure found in flowering plants (plants of the division Magnoliophyta, also called angiosperms). The biological function of a flower is to mediate the union of male sperm with female ovum in order to produce seeds. The process begins with pollination, is followed by fertilization, leading to the formation and dispersal of the seeds. For the higher plants, seeds are the next generation, and serve as the primary means by which individuals of a species are dispersed across the landscape. The grouping of flowers on a plant are called the inflorescence.

In addition to serving as the reproductive organs of flowering plants, flowers have long been admired and used by humans, mainly to beautify their environment but also as a source of food.

• As your bedtime approaches, develop a relaxing routine in the evening — don't keep busy until the moment before you expect to fall asleep.
• Avoid watching TV in bed.

I would like to post en entry about a movie which I think does not deserve the 8 Oscar awards - Slumdog Millionaire.

I was entirely shocked when I heard a Bollywood movie got 8 Oscars. Of course we expect it to be very interesting, since getting all eight is not a small deal. But when I watched it, I could even sleep after watching it for the first 10 minutes.

It depicts a story about how a guy from the slums could become a millionaire in a TV show. He managed to answer every question based on his past experience. Yes, it is a unique story, but the movie is entirely about his flashbacks. It makes people feel less interesting because too many flashbacks would make people feel bored.

When the movie Monster's Ball got the Best Movie award, I agreed, because they deserved it. I'm starting to think that American didn't get to watch the best Bollywood movies, and if they do, I think India would grab as many Oscars during the award ceremony.
