Olympic Games
The Olympic Games are an international multi-sport event established for both summer and winter sports. There have been two generations of the Olympic Games; the first were the Ancient Olympic Games held at Olympia, Greece. The second, known as the Modern Olympic Games, were first revived in 1895 by the Greek philanthropist Evangelis Zappas, in Athens, Greece.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) was founded in 1894 on the initiative of a French nobleman, Pierre Freddy, Baron de Coubertin, and has become the governing body of the Olympic Movement, a conglomeration of sporting federations responsible for the organization of the Games. The evolution of the Olympic Movement during the 20th century forced the IOC to adapt its own vision of the Games in several ways. The original ideal of a pure amateur athlete had to change under the pressure of corporate sponsorships and political regimes.
The modern Olympics feature the traditional Summer and the Winter Games, along with the more recent Paralympics and Youth Olympic Games, each with a summer and winter version. Participation in the Games has increased to the point that nearly every nation on Earth is represented. This growth has created numerous challenges, including political boycotts, the use of performance enhancing drugs, bribery of officials, and terrorism. The Games encompass many rituals and symbols established during its beginning, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Most of these traditions are displayed in the opening and closing ceremonies, and the medal presentations. Despite the current complexity of the Games, the focus remains on the Olympic motto: "Citius, Altius, Fortius" — "Faster, Higher, Stronger".

If you want to live a Happier and more Fulfilling Life. The only way to truly be happy is by helping others. By helping others it takes your mind off of your own problems.Take your mind off yourself. Focus on a friend in need. Or go volunteer at an nursing home. These people need a friend and are lonely too. Your true purpose in life is to exploit your gifts to bless others. So go out in help someone. If you play a guitar, play a song for someone. Be creative and help others smile and you will smile also. There is no greater sense of joy and peace than to lay your head down at the end of the day knowing that you were used to help someone, to add something to someone else's life.

Assalamualaikum

For this week, I have saying a lot of sorry to my dearest friend and my beloved. I had made a lot of mistake this week. Every time I say sorry, I will text them with this message that I got from a beautiful sorry card at Memory Lane.

Don’t be angry anymore because for every minutes that you are being angry, you‘re losing sixty seconds of happiness.

For me, this text gives a lot of meaning to me because I am a very happy person. So if I am in an angry mood, I will lose a happy moment in my life.

If you are doing something that hurt someone feeling, you should say sorry immediately before that thing become worst.

To my beloved and my best friend, please don’t be angry to me anymore I am so sorry. Love both of you.

As student, I am sure not all the class that we attended is very interesting and not bored. Sometimes there is a class which is called a dull class. We still must attend that class because we had no choice but we still have some steps or tips how to pay attention in a dull class. I had read about this article and I want to share with all of you guys. First we must recognize that the instructor is a human, same like us and she or he also needs our attention. Just like a little kid, they eat up attention and will do just about anything to get it. Secondly, position your seat in the second or third row, and make sure someone is sitting directly in front of you. Then the important thing is eye contact with your instructor or teacher, nod when you understand, gives quizzical looks when you don't understand. Watch the teacher repeat the info you don't quite get. Remember that they are speaking only to you because they have your attention. Remember while doing all this you are learning the material and having a little fun too. Last but least, take tons of notes and review them that night. Ask question if you don't understand something. This works great in a college classroom where everyone has their head down in a notebook and you are the only one seemingly paying attention. The more notes you take, the more the time will pass and the seemingly endless boring class will be over that much quicker! So let’s try all this steps to know whether it is success or not.

Hazards at work

I got a new information..this is about the office can literally be a toxic place. That recurrent, hacking cough may not just be a bacterial or viral infection but the result of long-term exposure to toxins suffusing the air in the workplace. Indeed, there is a long list of possible work-related diseases. Asthma, heavy-metal poisoning, skin diseases, cancers of the lung, bladder and nose, bronchitis, and giving birth to babies with abnormalities are just some of the serious afflictions and conditions that may have their origins in workplaces where employers pay scant regard to employee safety and health. As it is, a recent study has shown that Malaysian employees take an average of 4.2 days of medical leave in a year, higher than the average in many other countries. Ironically, however, the number of work-related illnesses reported nationwide appears too low for the worker population.

I read an article on thestar.com.my on a super talented professional drummer named Arthur Kam. What differs him from any other world-class drummer is that he’s still a secondary school students (he’s 17) with a very outstanding achievements in his field and all of this he had achieved way before he can legally drive. The biggest accomplishment that he made so far is when he was named as the Winner of Modern Drummer magazine’s worldwide Undiscovered Drummer Contest in the 18-and-under division. He also both a Malaysian as well as national record holder for youngest person to complete a professional drum course (aged 10 years 11 months). Once called as the ‘God of Drums’ by Jacky Cheung, Arthur had performed with few of well-known local artistes such as Siti Nurhaliza, Jaclyn Victor, M.Nasir as well as International Artistes include World-renowned drummer Akira Jimbo, American Idol house drummer Teddy Campbell, Sadao Watanabe and Jacky Cheung. His passion and talent in music in undoubtedly remarkable and all of his hard works was all worth it and has made him what he is today. ADHAN@AZAN

Ok for February reading entry 7.. i would like to share something with you all.

so, I would like to share about adhan. As you know the adhan is the Islamic call to prayer, recited by the muezzin. Adhan is called out by the muezzin in the mosque, sometimes from a minaret, five times a day summoning Muslims for mandatory (fard) prayers (salah). There is a second call known as iqama (set up) that summons Muslims to line up for the beginning of the prayers.
The Adhan (or Athan) sums up the teachings of Islam. In the Qu'ran and the sunnah there are four fundamentals on which the entire superstructure of Islam rests: (a) Belief in the oneness of Allah and in the fact that there is no Power greater than Him; (b) he alone is the Creator and the Master of the universe and no one other can claim share in His Godhood of sovereignty; (c) Muhammad is the final dispenser of the Will of Allah and it is his words and deeds that His will find expression; (c) it is not the material utility that determines the value of things or acts in Islam but their spiritual significance - thus salvation in Islam lies in the purification of the soul which can be achieved only by willing and conscious obedience to the Commands of Allah, and prayer is the most important of that obedience; (d) the highest aim of the life of a Muslim is to live a life of a eternal bliss. The main purpose behind the loud pronouncement of Adhan five times a day in every mosque is to make available to everyone an easily intelligible summary of Islamic belief. It is intended to bring to the mind of every believer and non-believer the substance of Islamic beliefs, or its spiritual ideology.

Alone she seems unable to effect her purpose, although he is trying his utmost to understand, and she summons to her aid the shapes of the dead and the presumably astral forms of whom some are still alive.

A microwave oven, or a microwave, is a kitchen appliance that cooks or heats food by dielectric heating. This is accomplished by using microwave radiation to heat water and other polarized molecules within the food. Microwave ovens heat food quickly, efficiently, and safely, but do not brown or bake food in the way conventional ovens do. This makes them unsuitable for cooking certain foods, or to achieve certain effects. Microwaving food raises several safety issues, largely connected with leakage of microwave radiation outside the oven. A microwave oven works by passing non-ionizing microwave radiation, usually at a frequency of 2.45GHz through the food. Microwave radiation is between common radio and infrared frequencies. Water, fat, and other substances in the food absorb energy from the microwaves in a process called dielectric heating. Many molecules such as those of water are electric dipoles, meaning that they have a positive charge at one end and a negative charge at the other, and therefore rotate as they try to align themselves with the alternating electric field of the microwaves. This molecular movement creates heat as the rotating molecules hit other molecules and put them into motion. Microwave ovens are generally used for time efficiency in both industrial applications such as restaurants and at home, rather than for cooking quality.
As conclusion, the microwave has made it easier for people to cook and it reduced the time needed for preparing and cooking food. But we must remember, nothing is perfect in this world. Despite it is very useful to human, microwave also could harm by it radiation.

GIRLS SHOULD AVOID THIS!

Crossing our legs
Do you cross your legs at your knees when sitting? Although we may believe that this is the lady-like elegant way to sit, sitting this way cuts down circulation to your legs. If you don’t want varicose veins to mar the beauty of your legs and compromise your health, uncross your legs every time you realize you have one knee on top of the other. The best way to sit is to simply place both legs together on the floor, balancing your weight equally.

Skipping breakfast
Never, ever skip breakfast. Remember, when you wake up in the morning it’s had been around 10-12 hours since your last meal. Your body needs food now, more than at any other time.

High heels
High heels sure look great, but they're murder for your back. This however doesn't mean you should steer clear of stilettos. Wear them, but not when you know you will be walking around a lot.

The dragon is a legendary creature of which some interpretation or depiction appears in almost every culture worldwide. The physical description and supposed abilities of the creature vary immensely according to the different cultures in which it appears. However, the unifying feature of almost all interpretations is it being a serpentine or otherwise reptilian monster (or at least possessing a serpentine/reptilian part or trait), and often possessing magical or spiritual qualities.

The two most familiar interpretations of dragons are either European dragons, derived from various European folk traditions, or unrelated Oriental dragons, derived from the Chinese dragon (lóng,龍,龙). The word "dragon" derives from Greek δράκων (drakōn), "a serpent of huge size, a python, a dragon" and that from δρακεῖν (drakein) aorist infinitive active of the verb δέρκομαι (derkomai) "I see clearly".

COMMENT :
As a chinese, i'm quite interested in dragons itself. Dragons are honoured creature in our culture. Me myself was born in the year of dragon and i do believe somewhere in this world there are dragons before or still there i cant assure. From this article, i also realize that Europeans also believe in dragons. Just that their belief in dragons are different in some way.

Many people have laptops that get hot pretty quick. The heat can get uncomfortable at times. This will prevent you from comfortable using a laptop in your lap. Most people just leave them on their desk but what do you do if you are not at your desk and you need to use your
laptop? You will probably have no choice but to place your laptop in your lap. So you will need to find a way to stop the heat from causing you to become uncomfortable. Most people think that the only purpose for a laptop cooler is so that the CPU or GPU can operate at a lower temperature so that the laptop can have a longer life overall. While this is true the laptop cooler can be use just to make the laptop comfortable. A laptop cooler will blow air upward so that the heat does not reach you.Even if the laptop cooler is off it will block most of the heat from your laptop from reaching your lap. That the purpose of cooler that i know.

Diving watch
Hi..
Diving is all about timing. Divers, therefore, need some way of keeping track of their timing during their dive. They can’t watch the clock on the wall, nor can they use a typical watch. That is why they use dive watches also known as diving watches or divers watches. First about diving watch, it is able to go deep under water. In other words, it can withstand tons of pressure. The dive watches have easy to read dials so that divers can figure out how much time they have remaining for their dive. Rather than having the typical push/pull crown that most watches have, the dive watches have a screw down crown, which gives it more of a water tight seal. Also, the band is made of rubber or a similar type of material so that salt water will not cause it to deteriorate. For diving lover, to look and know time your watch is important. so, buy the appropriate watch. Yeah!!

What is your zodiac? If your zodiac is sagittarius, let to read it. If no.. Owh, sorry..!

Sagittarius is the ninth astrological sign in the Zodiac, originating from the constellation of Sagittarius. In western astrology, the sign is no longer aligned with the constellation as a result of the precession of the equinoxes. Sagittarius is classed as a positive or masculine, extrovert sign; its element is fire and its quality is mutable. Sagittarius is ruled by the planet Jupiter. Individuals born when the sun was in this sign are considered Sagittarius individuals. Under the tropical zodiac, the sun enters Sagittarius around November 22-23 and exits around December 21. Under the sidereal zodiac, it is currently there roughly from December 16 to January 14. People born on these juncture dates would have to have an astrological chart drawn if they wished to determine which sign the sun was in at the exact time of their birth.
For the astrological symbol for Sagittarius has a dual meaning. The first and most common is that of a bow and arrow. The second and less well-known is that of an arrow lifting up a cross-shaped burden, representing the struggle the Sagittarius faces.

Thank for reading...

CALCULUS VERSUS DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION

calculus was a module for the first semester while differential equation is a module for this semester..both are related with mathematics, but the complicated one..but somehow,i want to state here that both are interesting subjects for me,,because i like to do the calculation..for the calculus, because of some silly mistakes and 'technical' mistake,i only got C- for calculus..hoping that for this Differential Equation,i will score higher than calculus..besides that, just to inform that the lecturer do play one of most important factor in making the student understand the subject..other than that,it's all in student's hand to determine whether they want to success or not..sometimes we blame the lecturers for giving a bad lecture, but somehow we must look at ourself and put the blame on ourselves..rather than just blaming others, let starts a new journey in processing a better and proper life~

Today I have headache, I don’t know why it happen. But when I just thinking for little while and I get the answer. It’s maybe because I used a wrong pillow when I sleep that night. From that I have choose this topic to talk to all of you, A PILLOW.
A pillow is a large cushion support for the head, usually used while sleeping in a bed, or for the body as used on a couch or chair. There are also throw pillows (also called toss pillows), which are pillows that are purely decorative and not designed for support or comfort. Outside the USA these are generally considered a type of cushion, with the term pillow reserved for the pillows on a bed. Pillows are usually very soft and comfortable. Many people use them while they sleep.
Pillow is important to our life because when we want slept we must used pillow to make we comfortable. But your must choose a right pillow that suitable with the type of the pillow and the function.

HOW TO COMPLIMENT SOMEONE YOU HATE

Most people don't get along with everyone that they meet. However, it is best to not to make it widely known that you dislike or hate someone. While we may hate someone, there has to be something deep down that we like about that person. Be the better person and compliment someone who you hate and see if it changes the dynamics of your relationship.

Step1
Keep it on the lowdown that you dislike or hate someone.

Step2
Think about why exactly you hate that person.

Step3
Take some time to find something good about the person whom you hate.

Step4
Pay the person whom you hate a compliment.

Step5
Try to reconnect with the person whom you hate by actively complimenting her and being honest with things that she does which bother you.

MAP AND PLAN

Every day of the year, maps and plans are in common use. A map, on the other hand, is a representation, no matter how accurately it may be shown. Difference as a Plan, it will accurately define widths of roads, sizes of buildings, etc; in other words, every feature is exactly true to scale. These maps and plans include street maps, charts of lakes and rivers, railway maps, construction site plans and architectural plans and sections. All these plans are drawn to scale by cartographers, engineers, architectural draughtsmen or surveyors, from measurements of distances heights and angles. The measurements are made by surveyors or engineers, using surveying instruments such as tapes, levels and theodolites.

CALCIUM

During pregnancy, women need more calcium to help build fetal bones, and their bodies may boost reabsorption of their own bone tissue to get it. This in turn can cause any lead stored in the bones to enter the blood circulation, exposing the fetus to lead, which can impair neurological development and cause lasting damage to the brain.

There is evidence that calcium can help prevent the release of lead from the bones, Ettinger and her team note in their report in Environmental Health Perspectives. The researchers previously found that lactating women who took calcium supplements had significantly less lead in their blood and breast milk.

To investigate the effects of calcium supplementation during pregnancy, "the period of greater relevance for maternal-fetal transfer of lead," they randomly assigned 670 pregnant women to take 1,200 mg of calcium daily or a placebo. Thirty-five percent of the study participants said they used lead-glazed pottery to serve, store or prepare food.

Blood lead levels fell by 11 percent, on average, in women who took calcium. Women who consumed the most had the most benefit; those who took 75 percent or more of the recommended number of calcium pills had a 24-percent drop in blood lead.

Women who started out with the most lead in their blood had an average 17-percent reduction in blood lead levels. For women with high initial blood lead levels who also reported using lead-glazed pottery, calcium reduced lead levels by 31 percent.

The U.S. phased out leaded gasoline in the early 1970s, so the great majority of reproductive-age women in this country don't have significant amounts of lead in their bones, Ettinger said in an interview. But those working in battery manufacturing, mining or other occupations involving lead exposure are still at risk, she added.

"It's not a lot of women, but the women who are exposed occupationally could be very highly exposed," the researcher said. Women in many parts of the developing world, where leaded gas is still in use or was only recently phased out and occupational and household exposure to lead tends to be more common, are also at risk, according to Ettinger.

The reduction in blood lead levels she and her colleagues saw were relatively modest, the researcher noted. "We're not suggesting that people just take a pill and think everything is fine," she said. "In addition to decreasing exposure sources this may be an important preventive method."

Women in the U.S. are typically instructed to take prenatal vitamins, but their calcium content varies widely, she added. "I think it's important to be aware of how much you're getting with the supplement and figure out with your doctor if you have risk factors for lead, and if so maybe additional calcium would be necessary," Ettinger advised.
