If you supply your body with more energy (food) than it needs, the surplus can’t just disappear. It will be stored (you could call it potential energy) as fat. Everyone should generally know how many calorie they need per day and the factors that influence it. There are different formulas to calculate this but let’s keep it practical.

One’s daily calorie requirement depends on various factors:

Gender: Males generally require more energy compared to women, having been intended by Nature to do the heavier work

Age: The older you become, the fewer calories you need because the natural metabolic rate slows down

Weight: The more you weigh, the more calories your body needs to keep alive (just as a heavier car consumes more fuel); this is also why people find it harder to lose weight after dropping a few pounds

Level of Activity: Keeping fit ensures that you have more calories (energy) going out; being active also plays a big role in lifting your overall metabolic rate
The BMR is the amount of energy you need to sustain your life. This includes your breathing, organs and everything else you need to keep alive:

Men: BMR = 66 + (13.7 x wt in kg) + (5 x ht in cm) - (6.8 x age in years)

Women: BMR = 655 + (9.6 x wt in kg) + (1.8 x ht in cm) - (4.7 x age in years)

Calories are the unit measurement of energy for food (1 calorie = 4 joules). The main sources in food are carbohydrates, protein and fat.

Based on "something wonderful is about to happen"

Love Light:Talk to he Animals

dr.doolittle could do it. so could Cinderella. if you have a pet,you may do it too. talking to animals. their sounds are foreign to us and ours to them, but the one thing both species understand is the language of love. since the writer travel often in rural areas, she decided to try an experiment. when she gets on the road, she says,"okay, deer, squirrels, skunks, gophers and raccoons.there's plenty of room out here for all of us.please cross the road well ahead of me or after i'm gone". so far,so good. in 23 years, she has had all nature of beasts cross her path but always at a distance. you might want to try the same trick. our minds are very powerful tools and every thought that carries a strong emotion actually goes out from us like a radar beam to find its receiver. try testing this wondrous power. make a request from the heart to the birds, butterflies or your cat. close your eyes and see them nodding in understanding. if this is too awkward for you,ask a small child to do it for you. something wonderful always happen when you do.

There are only two things that can result from telling a lie. If your lie is discovered, you will not only have to suffer the consequences of what it was that you lied about, but you will also have to deal with the issue that you lied about in the first place.
No one likes to be lied to, and if the lie is big enough, it can end a relationship. If you find yourself constantly lying, either to avoid conflict or for any other reason, you may need to see a therapist to discover why you are doing this.
People who lie all the time are called compulsive liars. Compulsive liars often suffer from a variety of problems such as narcissistic personality disorder or borderline personality disorder. These problems are severe and should be dealt with by prescription medication and therapy.

Assalamualaikum and aite everyone….
I like to eat bean sprouts. Not because it is cheaper than other vegetables but I like the taste of bean sprouts. But when I’ve read this article in CLEO magazine, I feel surprise for the statement…. Did you know why?

Bring on the bean sprouts!

Stop picking bean sprouts out of your food - you're throwing away lots of nutrition! According to scientists from the University in Wroclaw in Poland, sprouted foods such as mung bean and barley contain a surplus of nutrients in comparison to dried seeds like sunflower seeds. This is because during the sprouting process, the level of vitamins, minerals and proteins increase substantially, while calories decrease. Bean sprouts contain pure forms of vitamins A, B, C and E, calcium and iron. They are also cholesterol-free.

hi everyone! Today I want to share about one article from the star that I have been read on 20 march. The article had been written by T.Selva in her page. The title is think before you speak. It is very interesting topic to discuss. In her writing, she said that our thoughts and speech can work for us or against us depending on what we think and speak. I agree that. It has tremendous power and it is a tool to either lift us up, pull us down, wound us deeply or heal our hearts. Our spoken words originate from our thoughts and it is more powerful than our thoughts because they not only affect ourselves, but the people around us such as our friends, family and others. Another danger about words is that once it is out of our mouth, it can never be taken back and it will have an effect. We may not realise that on many occasions our words are uttered without conscious thought and we also rarely stop and think about what we are saying. At all times, we should think and analyze before we speak because whatever unpleasant words we say about another individual it is actually a mere reflection of ourselves. This is because the same fault exists in us and there is no benefit in hurting anyone. Every individual should learn not to follow their whims and start doing or saying anything that comes into their mind. We should exercise our ability to control our mind, be conscious and apply caution on what we want to speak. Then, one of the best ways to handle issues that cause dislike is to change our thoughts and by doing so, we are actually changing our life for the better. Next we should view things with compassion because we are all not perfect and we are bound to make some mistakes at some point of time. Remember constant negative speech traps us and prevents us from finding joy, peace, love, happiness and success.
Developing the habit of speaking well of self and others liberate us to enjoy life more and we become a blessing to ourselves and to others. She also gave some guide to positive thoughts and words. Firstly, avoid gossip and unhealthy talk.Secondly, stay away from complaining about others.Thirdly, look at the good qualities and strength of others. Then,do not allow unpleasant emotion to control you.Next, wish others well and avoid holding grudges. Then, choose to speak words that are uplifting so that you can boost yourself. Also, use positive spoken and written words to envision success. And lastly, successful people take control of their words rather than letting their words control them. She also ask us to do this before we speak ask ourselve: Is what I am about to say going to uplift, inspire or motivate the listener? The choice of words you use should be in alignment with your vision and dreams to see personal success.
T. Selva will appear live on TRAXXfm, for the TRAXX 101’s motivational segment on ‘The Art of Happy Living”, every last Friday of the month with DJ Jezza.

Assalamualaikum, heva you like trekking? i like trekking. l had climbing a Mount Strong at Kelantan. It's very interesting and fun. But now, i'm want share about Mount Kinabalu.

Mount Kinabalu is a prominent mountain in Southeast Asia. It is located in Kinabalu National Park in the east Malaysian state of Sabah, which is on the island of Borneo in the tropics.

About the histoy name, the first derivation of the word Kinabalu is extracted from the short form for the Kadazan Dusun word 'Aki Nabalu', meaning "the revered place of the dead".

The second source states that the name "Kinabalu" actually means "Cina Balu" (which would fully mean "A Chinese Widow"). Due to the lingual influence among the Kadazan Dusun of Sabah, the pronunciation for the word "cina" (chee-na) was changed to "Kina" (kee-na).

Besides, for the climb starts at the Kinabalu park headquarters at 1,563 m (5,128 feet). Most people accomplish this part of the climb in 3 to 6 hours.

For climbing it, some people usually may suffer from altitude sickness and should return immediately to the bottom of the mountain, as breathing and any further movement becomes increasingly difficult.

So, before go to climbing, we need to prepare and have training in climbing, among physically and mentality.Thanks.

Away from home…….

That day I accidentally read an article in popular. It was about the how the life of the author has lived alone away from his warmth home. The author was work as a small officer in a small company. Every day, he has to put his boss frustration on him. He also had to beware of his colleges that will betray him at anytime and anywhere. Besides this, he also has financial problems because he doesn’t know how to manage his salary. He spent over what he has earned every month. Sometimes, he will be afraid by chasing out from the house by his landlord due to he can’t afford the rent. On the other hand, he also had to think what he wants to eat every meal. This is due to him always eating take away. It had been a long time since he tastes his mother cooking. All of this had let him remind of how good his hometown was. And he started to regret about leaving his hometown. If in before, he stayed in home, he does not need to worry about all these domestics’ problems. All of this will be solved by his family. He doesn’t need to think about what to eat on this meal, no one will be chasing him out of house, all his laundry will be done by his mum, and so on……..
This author feeling about living alone that is away from home was quite similar to us. Now, we are studying at UMP, away from hometown, away from the warmth of family. Although this will be a little tough to us to use the new lifestyle, but it was a new experience to us. We will learn how to tolerance with each other, take care of ourselves and also lived independently!!!

Assalamualaikum and hye everyone..

After I see the advertisement about the new movie that will be release on 26 March, I can’t wait to watch it. Lastly, last Sunday, I have gone to watch the movie. The title is CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC, starring Isla Fisher as a beautiful, irresponsible and compulsive young woman who's addicted to fashion and cannot stop spending. Hugh Dancy plays a highly ambitious newspaper editor, a workaholic who is obsessed with his career but has no interest at all in shopping. It sounds like they are polar opposites, yet, as the highly entertaining story unfolds, they discover they have more in common than meets the eye. The film, directed by P.J. Hogan, is based on the novel by Sophia Kinsella. Before I went to watch the movie, I have read about the synopsis.

The movie tell the story about Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher), the beautiful woman that really shopaholic. She is the journalist for gardening magazine. One day, she has received a bill of her credit card which has reach 16000 dollars. She doesn’t have any idea to pay her bill because her magazine was bankrupt. She needs to find another job to pay all her bill. Allet is a magazine of fashion which is she really want to work there since she 14 years old. She went to the walk in interview at Allet, but the luck is not in her side. The interview was held yesterday. When she on the way to her walk in interview, she see the green scarf. She wants to buy it but she did not have enough money. She run to the hotdog shop and make a deal with a man that want to buy the hotdog.
After she buys the scarf, she goes to the interview but it was held yesterday. The receptionist tells her that there are interview in Successful Saving magazine. She that desperate to get a new job to pay back her bill has gone to the interview and finally she got the job. She that not has any experience in saving has faced many problems. She gets her first assignment about investment. She has written about a Kashmir coat that she buys but the coat is not original. She uses the Kashmir coat as the metaphors with the investment. Finally, she becomes famous. In the middle of her famous, her enemy was revealing her true life that the famous journalist at Successful Saving is a shopaholic and has a 16000 dollars debt. That means, she can’t control her own saving but she give another people an advice about their money.

For me, the story is really interesting. It makes me think twice to go shopping. But the story can’t give me a true lesson about become shopaholic. I can’t wait to have my own credit card and manage my own money. Hahaha..But I hope I will not be like Rebecca. I really enjoy watching this movie. So, I hope all of you will watch it too to know what the end of the story.

Yo.What's up guy.

In this blog i will give synopsis of all the novel series of Warrior.
First, i will start with first series 'Warrior'.

The first chapter in the series follows a domesticated cat named Rusty who has strange dreams about life in the forest. Against the warnings of his friend, Smudge, Rusty ventures into the forest, where he is attacked by another cat, later identified as Graypaw. As the fight settles, Rusty is invited to join ThunderClan, one of many warring cat clans. Rusty accepts, leaving his owners behind. In ThunderClan, Rusty is renamed Firepaw after a short bout between him and a young warrior named Longtail, in which his collar is ripped off. This is symbolic of his leaving his Twoleg nest (human house). Later on in the series, Fireheart (Firepaw who became a warrior at the end of the first book) discovers a plot by Tigerclaw (the deputy at the time) against the Clan in order to take over it. Fireheart stops him, Tigerclaw is banished after trying to kill Bluestar, and Fireheart becomes deputy. Tigerclaw, however, heads to ShadowClan to become leader. He then plots his revenge against ThunderClan. He releases a pack of dogs on the Clan.

Tigerstar (Tigerclaw) then plots to take over all 4 Clans, combining ShadowClan and RiverClan into "TigerClan". After Firestar united ThunderClan and WindClan into "LionClan", Tigerstar sent an rogue named Boulder to recruit BloodClan, a vicious band of cats from Twolegplace (human towns/houses). Scourge, the leader of BloodClan, kills Tigerstar with one blow and threatens to take over all the forest. The series draws to a climax when Firestar fights Scourge and BloodClan with all four Clans together as the 'new' LionClan.
The books in the series are: Into the Wild, Fire and Ice, Forest of Secrets, Rising Storm, A Dangerous Path, and The Darkest Hour.

Next i will tell about the summaries of all the book in this series starting with Into The Wild on the next blog.

The Red Thumb Mark
by R. Austin Freeman (Clifford Ashdown)

R. Austin Freeman cashed in on the Sherlock Holmes craze as did many others of that time. However, of all the Holmes stylistic imitators he probably remains the most respected.

A theft of diamonds occurs. The only clue is a piece of paper with a red thumb print and a few drops of blood inside an empty safe that formerly contained the diamonds. The proprietor of the business refuses to let the police fingerprint his employee’s who are also his nephews.

John Thorndyke is challenged with a seemingly impossible task of proving the innocence of his client, whose thumb print matches exactly the thumb print taken from the safe.

If you find imitators always boring or disappointing regardless of talent… keep browsing my friend.

If on the other hand, you’ve read every Holmes story and long for more. Well, for you my dear friend, the chase is about to begin… once more.

The most exspensive ice-cream.
Not everyone of us can taste the ice cream sundae that is obviously the world's most expensive ice cream! The delectable sundae is The Grand Opulence Sundae from famed Serendipity of New York City. The scoops in the dessert are garnished with 23k edible gold. So, you can make-out the luxury that has gone into its making. And, if you are wondering, this might be a rare-sell for the makers then the restaurant reports, they sell approximately one a month. Ultra-expensive ice cream for the ultra-rich!!!

By the way, how special do you think about it?

primary liver cancer mainly affects middle-aged and elderly people, and 2 times more common in men, then in women. The majority of patients with hematomas are usually already having liver cirrhosis, which is characterized by nodal regeneration of hepatocytes as a result of many years alcohol abuse.

Sometimes hepatomas occur as a complication of hepatitis, acquired during chronic. Both of them is quite common, but as a complication of liver cancer is rare. In Africa and Asia, a primary liver cancer is much broader and may meet on the third and fourth lives a dozen people who have no liver damage as a result of alcohol abuse.

It is believed that the reason for this could be the impact of aflatoxin - the exchange of products of fungi found in grain and beer. There was also a clear link with liver cancer hepatitis. Many bile duct cancers are probably the consequence of liver fluke invasion.

Besides, some people think that there is a link between obesity and liver cancer. A group of researchers from the Johns Hopkins Medical School, the University of California, Los Angeles (USA) argue that obesity is an even stronger risk factor for liver cancer than cirrhosis. That is disappointing, scientists have concluded, after reviewing the results of their multicentered, randomized, and in some cases, pathological studies.

At the same time, assessed the presence and degree of liver fat transformation accompanying obesity in more than 80% of cases. It was found that more than half of patients (at 26), had a higher body mass index, while 18 had signs of fat hepatitis. After analyzing the delayed results in 10 years from the start of the project, the scientists concluded that the trend would continue. Moreover, with age the number of people with excess weight has been growing steadily, and compensatory ability of the liver are reduced, which further underlines the impartial connect.

As an output, and an explanation of the authors propose the following concept: the resulting fatty degeneration of liver are regarded as precancerous conditions. At the same time there are rapid proliferation, i.e. growth and development of cells of the liver, and inhibition of programmed death, or apoptosis - the process of protecting the rule of tumors. These processes are likely to self-stimulate neogenesis, i.e. the growth of tumor cells.

It was my second time read it after my first time was when I am still in school, around six years ago. I like the story. In many novels for schools in Malaysia, I like ‘The Pearl’ most. It is a story about a pearl diver who had found a beautiful pearl that cause trouble to his family since he found it. The novel contains to show the reality lives that happen around us nowadays. It show the reality human attitude when they want something that precious. They are willing to do anything to get what they want. The greedy attitude is so bad that can make us to lie to someone in order to get benefits for their own like the doctor character in the novel. Compare to the real life today, people are willing to murder someone to get money. I cannot imagine how they can be able to take someone life for their own goods. Title : Circle of Friends ^^

This book is a beautiful tale of growing up. It is set in Ireland in the 1990s and told mainly through the prospective of Benny Hogan, as she goes to college, meets new people and lives her life.
The characters are what make this book so special. This book is relative to everyone. As a reader, you get to meet Eve Malone, a girl with a terrible background but a strong outlook on like, who struggles to make it through college and life without any charity. You get to meet Jack, Benny’s love interest, a frivolous young man, whose actions finally catch up on him and make him face all his consequences. You get to meet Nan, a stunningly beautiful girl, whose class and background halt her from reaching her dreams but, with callous determination, she does not give up, regardless of all that she hurts.

And you get to meet Benny. Only a heart of stone would not feel for Benny. Insecure and weighed (pun, intended!) down by her appearance, Benny searches to find herself. She lusts after Jack, but is he really the man for her? Can he really make Benny happy?
An amazing book of friends, loyalty, love and maturity. Follow every character’s path, and find out where they all end up. Once you begin reading this book, you will not be able to put it down. Every character’s emotion will feel like your own, and it should feel like a gentle emotional roller coaster, up and down until this book reaches its dramatic climax. The clear and concise writing of the author, and her pretty descriptions, makes this a light and pleasurable read. The tone is encouraging throughout, and the humour a frequent bounce. This book could make any person feel good, and its lesson is clear: Don’t take life too seriously. Nothing is the end of the world.
