Hi..6 reasons the world will end in 2012. Scientific experts from around the world are genuinely predicting that five years from now, all life on Earth could well finish. Some are saying it'll be humans that set it off. Others believe that a natural phenomenon will be the cause. And the religious folks are saying it'll be God himself who presses the stop button.

1. Mayan Calendar
The first mob to predict 2012 as the end of the world were the Mayans, a bloodthirsty race that were good at two things: Building highly accurate astrological equipment out of stone and
Sacrificing Virgins.Thousands of years ago they managed to calculate the length of the lunar moon as 329.53020 days, only 34 seconds out. The Mayan calendar predicts that the Earth will end on December 21, 2012. Given that they were pretty close to the mark with the lunar cycle, it's likely they've got the end of the world right as well.

2. Sun Storms
Solar experts from around the world monitoring the sun have made a startling discovery: our sun is in a bit of strife. The energy output of the sun is, like most things in nature, cyclic, and it's supposed to be in the middle of a period of relative stability. However, recent solar storms have been bombarding the Earth with so much radiation energy, it's been knocking out power grids and destroying satellites. This activity is predicted to get worse, and calculations suggest it'll reach its deadly peak sometime in 2012

3. The Atom Smasher
Scientists in Europe have been building the world's largest particle accelerator. Basically its a 27km tunnel designed to smash atoms together to find out what makes the Universe tick. However, the mega-gadget has caused serious concern, with some scientists suggesting that it's properly even a bad idea to turn it on in the first place. They're predicting all manner of deadly results, including mini black holes. So when this machine is fired up for its first serious experiment in 2012, the world could be crushed into a super-dense blob the size of a basketball.

4. Super Volcano

Yellowstone National Park in the United States is famous for its thermal springs and Old Faithful geyser. The reason for this is simple - it's sitting on top of the world's biggest volcano, and geological experts are beginning to get nervous sweats. The Yellowstone volcano has a pattern of erupting every 650,000 years or so, and we're many years overdue for an explosion that will fill the atmosphere with ash, blocking the sun and plunging the Earth into a frozen winter that could last up to 15,000 years. The pressure under the Yellowstone is building steadily, and geologists have set 2012 as a likely date for the big bang.

5. The Physicists
This one's case of bog-simple maths mathematics. Physicists at Berekely Uni have been crunching the numbers. and they've determined that the Earth is well overdue for a major catastrophic event. Even worse, they're claiming their calculations prove, that we're all going to die, very soon - while also saying their prediction comes with a certainty of 99 percent- and 2012 just happens to be the best guess as to when it occurs.

6. Slip-Slop-Slap- BANG!
We all know the Earth is surrounded by a magnetic field that sheilds us from most of the sun's radiation. What you might not know is that the magnetic poles we call north and south have a nasty habit of swapping places every 750,000 years or so - and right now we're about 30,000 years overdue. Scientists have noted that the poles are drifting apart roughly 20-30kms each year, much faster than ever before, which points to a pole-shift being right around the corner. While the pole shift is underway, the magnetic field is disrupted and will eventually disappear, sometimes for up to 100 years. The result is enough UV outdoors to crisp your skin in seconds, killing everything it touches

I don't know i should trust this article myself...so what do you all think of?

Assalamualaikum~

maybe this news was old one but the case still not settle yet. here some view about the news. on 19th november 2006 and which has been kept secret until now, reveals dry and precise descriptions as to how this young woman, a member of Asian high society, has been killed. In this document, one of the killers, a policeman of the Malaysian Special Branch named Sirul Omar, replied to the questions of an officer at a police station close to the murder scene. “When the Chinese woman saw that I was taking a gun, she begged me to spare her, saying she was pregnant. Azilah (the commanding officer of Sirul) grabbed her and [threw] her on the ground. I immediately shot the left side of her face. Then Azilah took off her clothes and put them in a black plastic bag. Azilah noticed that her hand was still moving. He ordered me to shoot again, which I did”, said Sirul. This is the first confirmation of Altantuya’s assassins’ identity. “Then we carried her body into the woods. Azilah wrapped the explosives around her legs, her abdomen and her head, and we exploded her.

Green living is not only about people. It is also about plants, animals, and the places they live. Green living means thinking about climate change and energy use, as well as about biological diversity and the well-being of those who draw their livelihoods from nature.

We know this takes effort. Here is a useful list of simple steps you can take to begin thinking greener, acting greener, and living greener.

1. Be Informed
The first step toward being a responsible green citizen is knowing the issues and taking time to think about them.

2. Travel Sustainably
Next time you go on vacation or need to take a business trip, consider ways you can cut down on carbon emissions.

3. Be a Green Consumer
It is becoming easier and easier to know what effects the things you buy have on the environment.

4. Eat Green
Environmentally friendly eating habits are easy and healthy.

5. Explore Biodiversity
The diversity of nature is everywhere. So why not roll up your sleeves and see what’s been living right outside your door?

6. Enhance Your Local Biodiversity
Contributing to diversity in your own neighborhood can go a long way toward feeling good every day.

7. Minimize Your Carbon Footprint
By reducing the energy and fossil fuels you use, you are saving the environment from further damage.

8. Offset Your Carbon
After you have done everything you can to minimize your carbon footprint then you can think about how to offset what residual impacts remains.

Hai!!!Meet again for 'the ways to be a good friends'...To be a good friend you have to 4. Be respectful. Know the boundaries. Things you and your friend discuss should be treated with care - your friend is not sharing this information with just anyone, and may not want to. She shared it with you - and only you, as far as you know. Example: If your friend doesn't want to name her crush, don't push her into it. If she has named her crush, don't tell anyone else. This is just common courtesy anyone and everyone deserves the expectation that you will keep confidences.Then,5. Watch out for your friend. If you sense that s/he is getting drunk at a party, help him or her to get away from the alcohol. Don't allow your friend to drive drunk - take his or her keys and/or drive your friend home personally. If your friend begins talking about running away or committing suicide, tell someone about it. This rule overrides the "respect privacy" step, because even if your friend begs you not to tell anyone, you should do it anyway. Suggest a help line or professional to your friend. Talk to your and your friend's parents or spouse first (unless they are the ones causing the problems) before involving anyone else.On other hand,6. Pitch in for friends during times of crisis. If your friend has to go to the hospital, you could help pack his or her bags; if her/his dog runs away, help to find it, if he/she needs someone to pick him/her up, be there. Take notes for your friend in school and give them their homework assignments when they're absent and sick at home. Send cards and care packages. If there is a death in his/her family, you might want to attend the funeral or cook dinner for them. Care about your friend enough to help him or her open up and let tears roll. Give them a tissue and listen. You don't have to say anything, just be with them. That all for this second entry. I will continue in the third entry for other ways to be a good friend!!! Wait for it!!!

Darkness also called lightlessness is the absence of light. Scientifically it is only possible to have a reduced amount of light. A dark object reflects fewer visible photons than other objects, and therefore appears dim in comparison. For example, matte black paint does not reflect visible light and appears dark, but white paint reflects all visible light and appears bright.

As a poetic term, darkness can also mean the presence of shadows, evil, or depression. Darkness can have a strong psychological impact. It can cause depression in people with seasonal affective disorder, fear in nyctophobics, comfort in lygophilics, or attraction as in gothic fashion. These emotions are used to add power to literary imagery.

Artistically, darkness can also be used to emphasize or contrast with light. Color paints are mixed together to create darkness, because each color absorbs certain frequencies of light. Theoretically, mixing together the three primary colors, or the three secondary colors, will absorb all visible light and create black.

Today, I would like to talk about peanut.

Believe it or not, records indicate the good ole peanut has been around for 3500 years or so. Its original home is Brazil. Peanuts were seen to grow as far north as Mexico when the Spanish explored the western Americas. The peanut traveled with Portuguese traders from Brazil to Europe and Africa. From Africa they traveled by ship to the Americas where slaves planted them throughout the south.

The first major use for peanuts was as food for pigs. The first notable use of peanuts as food for humans came during the Civil War, when both Northern and Southern troops used the peanut as a food source during hard times.

In 1870 P.T. Barnum began using roasted peanuts in his circus as a snack food. Soon after, they began showing up at ball parks and movie theaters. In fact, the cheap seats in theaters became known as peanut galleries.

The peanut, which has also been known as a goober, guinea seed, ground pea, pinda, ground nut and monkey nut, is not a nut at all, but is actually a legume.

Hi…
For this entry I would like to share about tattoo..
A tattoo is a permanent marking made by inserting ink into the layers of skin to change the pigment for decorative or other reasons. Tattoos on humans are a type of decorative body modification, while tattoos on animals are most commonly used for identification or branding.
Tattooing has been practiced worldwide. The Ainu, the indigenous people of Japan, traditionally wore facial tattoos. Today one can find Berbers of Tamazgha (North Africa) and Maori of New Zealand with facial tattoos. Tattooing was widespread among Polynesian peoples and among certain tribal groups in the Philippines, Borneo, Mentawai Islands, Africa, North America, South America, Mesoamerica, Europe, Japan, Cambodia, New Zealand and Micronesia. Despite some taboos surrounding tattooing, the art continues to be popular in many parts of the world.

I like to eat kiwi especially those yellow in colour. Kiwi is an exotic and beneficial fruit that is available all year round.
So I would like to share with you all how to choose a kiwi.
1. Squeeze the kiwifruit between your thumb and index finger.
2. The ripe kiwi will yield to gentle pressure.
3. If the fruit doesn't yield, you can wait anywhere from a few days to a week for it to ripen. Just store it at room temperature, away from light and heat. You can also put the kiwifruit in a bag with an apple or banana to ripen it faster.

The giant drum or Rebana Ubi in Malay is a favourite among the locals in the east coast. These drums are used during wedding ceremonies and recreational competitions.
It is made from a hollowed-out log about 0.6m in diameter, weighs about 108 kg and is 0.53m from head to base. The drum head is 0.9m and the base diameter is 0.675m. During a competition, the drums are assembled in groups of six with two players to a drum. The players will normally dress in colorful traditional costumes complete with headgear and sashes.

Since C17 is Science Computer student's, I would like to share some information about birth of Computer Science. From my research, the outsider don't know about Computer Science.
After 1920s, machines that computed with continuous values became known as the analog kind. They used machinery that represented continuous numeric quantities, like the angle of a shaft rotation or difference in electrical potential.

Digital machinery, in contrast to analog, was able to render a state of a numeric value and store each individual digit. Digital machinery used difference engines or relays before the invention of faster memory devices.

The phrase computing machine gradually gave away, after the late 1940s, to just computer as the onset of electronic digital machinery became common. These computers were able to perform the calculations that were performed by the previous human clerks.

Since the values stored by digital machines were not bound to physical properties like analog devices, a logical computer, based on digital equipment, was able to do anything that could be described "purely mechanical." Alan Turing, known as the Father of Computer Science, invented such a logical computer known as the Turing Machine, which later evolved into the modern computer. These new computers were also able to perform non-numeric computations, like music.

From the time when computational processes were performed by human clerks, the study of computability began a science by being able to make evident which was not explicit into ordinary sense more immediate.

In my first entry for this month, I’d talk about bento, takeout or home-packed meal common in Japanese culture. How about Malaysian culture? Here, we didn’t call it bento. We call it as lunch box. It also referred to as a lunch pail or lunch kit is a container meant to store a meal for consumption, usually at work or school.
The lunch box has historically most often been used by schoolchildren to take packed lunches, or a snack, from home to school. The most common modern form is a small case with a clasp and handle, often printed with a colourful image that can either be generic or based on children's television shows or films.
As Japanese culture, lunch box also consists of rice, fish or meat. Sometimes people put bread as their lunch box or any other simple food so they can eat it at instant. But, lunch box are rarely practice in Malaysia and they usually buy their lunch at the café or restaurant.

Brain

The brain is the center of the nervous system in all vertebrate, and most invertebrate, animals. Some primitive animals such as jellyfish and starfish have a decentralized nervous system without a brain, while sponges lack any nervous system at all. In vertebrates, the brain is located in the head, protected by the skull and close to the primary sensory apparatus of vision, hearing, balance, taste, and smell.
Brains can be very complex. The human brain contains roughly 100 billion neurons, linked with up to 10,000 synaptic connections each. These neurons communicate with one another by axons (protoplasmic fibers) which carry trains of signal pulses called action potentials to distant parts of the brain or body and target them to specific recipient cells.
From a philosophical point of view, it might be said that the most important function of the brain is to serve as the physical structure underlying the mind. From a biological point of view, the most important function is to generate behaviors that promote the benefit of an animal. Brains control behavior either by activating muscles, or by causing secretion of chemicals such as hormones. Even single-celled organisms may be capable of extracting information from the environment and acting in response to it. Sponges, which lack a central nervous system, are capable of coordinated body contractions and even locomotion. In vertebrates, the spinal cord by itself contains neural circuitry capable of generating reflex responses as well as simple motor patterns such as swimming or walking. However, complicated control of behavior on the basis of complex sensory input requires the information-integrating capabilities of a centralized brain.
Despite rapid scientific progress, much about how brains work remains a mystery. The operations of individual neurons and synapses are now understood in considerable detail, but the way they cooperate in ensembles of thousands or millions has been very difficult to explain. Methods of observation such as EEG recording and functional brain imaging tell us that brain operations are highly organized, but these methods do not have the resolution to reveal the activity of individual neurons. Thus, even the most fundamental principles of neural network computation may to a large extent remain for future investigators to discover.

Do not expose your drugs to heat! Many patients do not realize that their prescription medication has specific storage requirements. A study has found that when formoterol, an inhaled treatment for asthma symptoms are exposed to temperatures of 65 degree Celsius which is similar to a car interior or letter box on a hot day, will cause it to lose more than half its efficacy. Therefore, keep your drugs cool and most importantly do not keep them in your car and letter box (for mail-order prescriptions only) on a hot day.

Hi girls. Today I wanna write about The Effects of Divorce on Children. Research shows that the effects depend on the age of the child at the time of divorce, the child’s gender and personality.

Age of children:
- School-aged children:They may experience grief, embarrassment, resentment, divided loyalty and intense anger. Children this age may hope parents will get back together. Elementary
aged children may feel rejected by the parent who left. They may complain
of headaches or stomachaches.
- Adolescents:
Teens experience anger, fear, loneliness, depression and guilt. Teens also may doubt their own ability to get married or to stay married.

Gender effects:
Researchers are now finding that boys raised by fathers and girls raised by mothers may do better than children
raised by the parent of the opposite sex. School age boys living with their fathers or in joint living arrangements
seem to be less aggressive. They also have fewer emotional problems than those boys who live with their
mothers and have little or no contact with their fathers. Girls raised with mothers tend to be more responsible
and mature than girls raised by their fathers.

Recently, I have read about the Malaysia's first homegrown, remote-sensing satellite, RazakSAT that will be set off tomorrow, March 21 to prepare for its launch into orbit at Kwajalein Island, Republic of Marshall Island on April 21. The sending-off ceremony of the satellite will be witnessed by Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Dr Maximus Ongkili at the Royal Malaysia Air Force base in Subang, a statement from the minister's office here said today. RazakSAT, named after Malaysia's second prime minister Tun Abdul Razak, is a mini-class satellite weighing at 190kg, and will orbit the Near Equatorial Orbit (NEqO) at an altitude of 685km. It is also the first remote-sensing satellite to orbit the NEqO, where the orbital location will enable observation to be made on the earth's surface more often -- as compared with other remote-sensing satellites -- that is, five to six times daily, during daylight. The satellite, which will be blasted into space using the United States launcher, Falcon-1, is designed and manufactured by a local company, Astronautic Technology (M) Sdn Bhd (ATSB).

assalamualaikum and haiii to all..then for this entry, i would like to tell you about the ostrich..

The ostrich is in a family by itself — literally...only one species of ostrich exists and this single species has been placed in a family (Struthionidae) separate from other birds..

with its massive body, long, skinny, bare neck, tiny head and small wings relative to its body, the ostrich looks awkward and out of proportion...the ostrich cannot fly, but this bird can run, traveling up to 45 mph for as long 30 minutes...

Ostriches typically form mixed-sex herds and travel long distances in search of grass and plants for food...at one time the ostrich could be found across Africa and West Asia...today, their home range has decreased to only eastern and southern Africa...

Hi. Let we continue again with the last entry about ‘Top 10 Secrets to be a Smart Student’. Tip 3 is write your lecture notes after, take brief notes during lectures and complete them soon after class when it’s still fresh in memory. Next tip is rewrite the headings as questions mean the questioning headings and subheadings provoke your critical thinking and deepen your understanding. Tip 4 is make a master list of questions, try to find answers to those questions during lectures and reading and tip number five is make a master list of keywords is the understanding of key concepts and their inter-relationship will give you the true mastery of that chapter. Use flash cards for them too.

Hi, now I will come with what I read about benefit of yogurt. Yogurt is milk that has been fermented with good bacteria or probiotics, most commonly lactobacilli bulgaricus and lactobacilli thermophilus. The presence of these good bacteria in our intestines brings 3 key benefits of yogurt, including increased B vitamins, improved digestion, and enhanced immune system. Because of its many benefits, natural health proponents suggest that yogurt is one of those health foods that we should consume everyday.

The benefits of yogurt include:

1. Higher Amounts of Vitamins

L. bulgaricus and l. thermophilus produce biotin, which is a B-vitamin. As a result, yogurt can contain as much as 30 times more vitamin B12, 50 times more vitamin B3 and 14 times more vitamin A than milk. Vitamin B12 is essential to maintain a healthy nervous system, produce lots of energy, and ensure optimal brain functioning. Vitamin B3 helps the body release energy from carbohydrates and regulates cholesterol. Vitamin A is crucial for healthy skin and eyesight, and helps the body fight infections.

2. Healthier Digestive System

The good bacteria in yogurt helps the intestines maintain the right acidity. This helps prevent digestive problems such as constipation and diarrhea. In fact, people who are lactose intolerant will often find that they can eat yogurt without any problems. Having the right Ph balance in the digestive system also helps the body absorb more minerals, such as calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc.

3. Stronger Immune System

Once in our intestines, the probiotics in yogurt help our bodies fight disease. They produce substances that kill harmful bacteria and fungi that would otherwise make us sick. They also prevent the production or reduce bacterial toxins. In the early 1900s Dr. Eli Metchnikoff found that the bacteria in yogurt reversed bacterial infection. His research showed that l. bulgaricum displaced harmful bacteria and reduced the toxins they produced. Probiotics have also been found to reduce allergies, increase the amount of immune system cells, prevent tumours, and protect against pollutants like pesticides, mercury and radiation.

It would be wise to eat yogurt every day for overall good health. However, choose yogurt from stores carefully. Some contain too much sugar and others have been processed to the point where the amount of beneficial bacteria is almost nil. This is why many people prefer to make their own yogurt. Whether you make it yourself or buy a good-quality one from a store, yogurt is a super food that can help keep our bodies healthy.

What is rubber? Do you know the meaning of the rubber? Rubber is said to be a native of South America. Even today it grows wildly in Brazil. Legend says that some of the sailors of Christopher Columbus during the early exploration of America, found children playing with a kind of ball that could bounce. In 1736 La Condamine discoveres that is came from a tree. Later, an English chemist called Priestly discovered that it could be used for rubbing out pencil marks. Rubber is one of the most important products in the Electrical and motor-car industries. Tyres and tubes for vehicles, insulation for wires, hoses, shoes and others are made from rubbers.

Tips On Nail Care
It important to have healthy nails. The color of your nails is an indicator of your general health. Your nails are a part of your body too so you must take good care of them. Here are a few tips on how to take care of your nails.
• Healthy nails are transparent and look pink in color as a result of the blood beneath them.
• If you wear nail polish on a regular basis then, take them off for a day or two every week, in order to let your nails breath.
• Add shine to your nails by massaging coconut oil or warm castor oil on to them.
• If you do not like nail polish then apply dry soap to your nail and buff or use lemon peel for a similar result.
• Dip a cotton-tipped swab in hydrogen peroxide to clean under the nails and whiten them.
• Before giving yourself a manicure dip your nails in a cup of warm water with one tablespoon of lemon juice.
• Put your fingertips in half a lemon and twist your finger back and forth to clean the cuticles and nails.

I would like to write about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. I can't believe that they had, if i'm not mistaken, 6 children and not getting married. Do they feel burden of getting married, after telling the whole world about having a string of babies around them?

Lately, I've heard about Brad Pitt proposing to Angelina, or else they wouldn't have babies anymore. I almost laugh when I heard that. Do they have fetish about babies?
