Why punctuation first begin?

After reading an article about how punctuation exist and why, I understand that it does not exist by its own but there is an inventor for each punctuation. For example comma and colon are invented by Aristhophanes, librarian who, lived in Byzantium in the second century BC. And the reason why punctuation had been introduced is mainly to help people to read out loud. To help those reading out loud in the ancient world, signs known as ‘points’ were added to pages of writing. Punctuation comes the Latin word punctus, meaning “points”. These points told readers to pause or take a breath and what to emphasize.
More information about punctuation can be found in Reader’s Digest (January 2009).

I just read an article about acne and skin care from,
http://skin-care.health-cares.net/

What is acne? from my understand, acne is an inflammatory skin disease which affects the tiny pores which cover the face, arms, back and chest and the oil glands attached to them. The article said that acne is an abnormal response in the skin to the normal levels of the male hormone, testosterone, in the blood. Both men and women have testosterone circulating in the blood, but in acne sufferer, this hormone has a profound effect on skin. This abnormal responses is self limiting and eventually acne does get better without treatment, but there is no way of predicting how long this can take and it may take years or even decades!! acne also give scars which are permanent and are easier to prevent than to treat. so bad....and because of that, I give some tips to treating acne. Firstly, keep hands off the fact and avoid squeezing the pimples, as this can spread infection and cause permanent scarring. Avoid to use of oily cosmetic, moisturizers and cream. The article said, if use the cosmetic, look for those with a water base. and also don't forget to remove makeup at night. Eat a balanced diet. Lastly, washing the skin twice a day is usually sufficient to remove surface oil, dead skin and dirt and to keep the skin moderately dry. And also do not scrub the skin.

New LCCT-Do we really need?

Yesterday I was read an article in Utusan Malaysia and The New Straits Time about the rejection of Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) Project in Labu by Government, which was announced by Datuk Seri Najib. However, a new LCCT will be built near KLIA soon and Air-Asia was given two weeks to provide its needs list at the new LCCT. When I first read about the project in Tun Mahathir’s blog last week, my understanding about the issue is nearly zero. But then, in the newer post, Tun had reply to a commentator of the blog (his nicknamed was MoMan) who was involved in the Labu airport project. MoMan has tried to explain why Labu airport is necessary. In Tun’s reply, he had given a concrete reason about the rationality of rejecting the project. According to the discussion, I personally think that the new LCCT is unnecessary. In my opinion, the existing LCCT should be upgrade rather than built a new one. If the Labu project will cost about RM 1.6 billion, so it will with the new LCCT even though it is near KLIA but surely cost a lot. With such a big amount, I would rather help out the lower class citizens or help the local entrepreneurs since we are boycotting US products. This is just an opinion from a concern citizen and I believe that government has its own reason of doing that thing.

The full news and comments about Labu project can be read through:

After read an article about The First Line of Defenses from
Strengthen your immune system.
From my understand, as soft and as vulnerable as your bare skin may feel, it’s tough enough to serve as the body’s primary armour against roving bacteria and viruses. What make it so well suited to its protective role is the layer of dead cells that from the top part of the skin, the epidermis. Thinner that plastic cling wrap, this layer is composed of a protein called keratin, which is difficult to break down. As a result, it’s impossible for most infectious agents to penetrate the skins, except when it is unhealthy or damaged. Even before germs land on the skin, they are often stopped by hairs, which help to keep out dirty and microorganisms. Germs that to manage to get past the hairs land on a film of a sweat and oil, laced with acidic chemicals and beneficial bacteria that together hold back hostile organisms. Some immune cells also stand guard. For example, Langerhans’ cells lie in the epidermis waiting to ingest unwelcome microbes and alert other immune-team players that more attackers may be on the way.

GONG XI FA CAI!!!

I'm sure all of us know this greeting is famous when Chinese New Year is around the corner. And so do me. I knew this greeting since in primary school. Even i do not celebrate it, but i have some of friend that celebrate this event. Do you know why they celebrate this event??Here i have just a short story why they celebrate this event. According to legends,Chinese New Year started with the fight against a mythical beast called the Nian or "Year" in Chinese. Nian would come on the first day of New Year to devour livestock, crops, and even villagers, especially children. To protect themselves, the villagers would put food in front of their doors at the beginning of every year. It was believed that after the Nian ate the food they prepared, it wouldn’t attack any more people. One time, people saw that the Nian was scared away by a little child wearing red. The villagers then understood that the Nian was afraid of the color red. Hence, every time when the New Year was about to come, the villagers would hang red lanterns and red spring scrolls on windows and doors. People also used firecrackers to frighten away the Nian. From then on, the Nian never came to the village again.
so,for those that celebrate this event, i wish you "GONG XI FA CAI"

MANCHESTER UNITED won AGAIN!!

My lovely club man utd gain 3 point after defeat Everton last night.
it was the 23rd game for MU, with 16 win,5 draw & 2 lost.

The goal had been scored by cristiano ronaldo,MU right winger & also the FIFpro and Europe award winner best player for 2008.the goal came after 44 minute, when Michael Carrick had been tripped by everton top player,Mikel Arteta.

Playing at 'home' wasn't so good for Man Utd,which less attacking chance for goal, only with a try from CR7 30 yard from opponent's goal but he drilled his effort straight to the wall 4 minute game had start.

I love photography very much, so that I have decided to share one of the article about tips and techniques in photography that had been writed by Brian Ratty. There are a few basic rules of photography and few features of the camera that can help us to makes our shooting pictures look great. First of all, we should read the manual instruction about our cameras. We must know the fuction of all the buttons and symbols that had been provided on and in the cameras. So that we can handle the camera perfectly. Then, we should check the batteries. It's best to check the battery first before insert it or take it from the camera.Besides, we should know the focus zone of what ever things or subjects that we want to shoot. For example, if we want to take a picture of two people standing next to each other, the camera might focus on the background between these two subjects. So, the photos will looks more stable.

The other tips is sometimes, we should practice loading the film in order to improve our shooting skill. Just taken pictures without film in the camera. Most point & shoot cameras give a sign if the film is loaded correctly. So that, we can detect if there are any problems of the cameras. As we all know, light is very importance in photography. So, we need to understand about the backlight and frontlight of the camera to find out what our camera can do about extreme or lower light. To have the better shooting picture, we also need to move in and get close to the subjects that we want to shoot. It is much better to shoot the perfect picture and will give the great impact to the viewers.

Assalamualikum..

I already make a research an article about "Can Exercise Beat Depression?". Many people today had depression emotion especially student and worker. So, we must know the ways to beat that problem. As we know, there are many ways to beat depression. But, does we know that exercise can beat depression?
In a 12 weeks study of 80 people at the Cooper Institute in Golden, Colorado with mild to moderate depression, researchers found that working up a sweat on a treadmill or stationary bike reduced symptoms by 47 percent. That similar to the effect of antidepressants.
But, the main key is the amount of activity or exercise that we do in a period. Only those who work at for three hours per week got the mood-boosting benefit. Those who exercised just 80 minutes a week had no improvement. How about those who did not do an exercise or less than 80 minutes? They might be got serious depression.
The researchers still do not know exactly how exercise helps, but they speculate that activity like aerobic activity increases levels of serotonin and other brain chemicals that regulate mood. The best ways is talk to your doctor before you choose walking, biking or jogging over therapy or drugs.
Lastly, don’t make the depression as a big problem in your life. Try to get an exercises.

Hi, i just want to talk about how to eat you war slim. Here the secrers. This will help sidestep portion distortion in the future.

Ruin your appetite: If you only eat three squares a day, you might be getting too hungry between meals, causing you to overeat when you finally sit down to dine.

Supersize your eats: Sometimes bigger really is better. Selecting a high-volume version of the food you want can help you eat less. People who had cheese puffs for a snack ate 21 percent fewer calories than those given denser bites.

Don't fear frozen meals: Eating an entree out of your freezer isn't something you want to make a daily habit, but once in a while it can be a smart way to refresh your memory on sensible serving sizes.

Plot your path: When you map out your meals for the day, you’re less likely to stumble on diet setbacks such as unhealthy takeout or king-size treats from the vending machine.

Hehe, i don't care enough to be slim. Good luck in your slim trim.
You help yourself to healthier fare. SELF has more ways to trade up to healthier treats.

In this month,January, on 26th January, this Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. It is often called the Lunar New Year, especially by people in mainland China and Taiwan. Begins on the first day of the first month, (Chinese: 正月; pinyin: zhēng yuè) in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th; this day is called Lantern Festival. Chinese New Year's Eve is known as Chúxī. It literally means "Year-pass Eve".

It is celebrated in areas with large populations of ethnic Chinese, Chinese New Year is considered a major holiday for the Chinese and has had influence on the new year celebrations. These include the Koreans, Mongolians, Nepalese, Bhutanese, Vietnamese, and formerly the Japanese before 1873. In Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and other countries or regions with significant Han Chinese populations, Chinese New Year is also celebrated, and has, to varying degrees, become part of the traditional culture of these countries.

As we all know, although the Chinese calendar traditionally does not use continuously numbered years, its years are often numbered from the reign of Huangdi outside China. But at least three different years numbered 1 are now used by various scholars, making the year 2009 "Chinese Year".

This year's logo is "cow".I also know that Chinese also have their rules,I mean like what they must do,not supposed to do on that day.

Finally, I hope that this Chinese New Year on 2009, will bring the happiness in everyone of my Chinese friends.

-READING--
Hi … today I would like to share something about reading. You, know reading is a very important skill. Everybody who has mastered the English language to some degree can read, the difference being the level of understanding and interpretation. However, there is always room for improvement and reading strategies can always help. Here below, have five tips that to help you read better, TRY IT…

Tip #1: Try to read at right level. Read something you can (more or less) understand.
If you need to stop every three words to look in a dictionary, it will be very
difficult and discouraging for you and you will soon get tired.

Tip #2: Try to pick up new vocabulary. If there are four or five words which are new to
you on a page, write them in your vocabulary book. However, you don’t have to
write them while you read. Instead, try to guess their meanings as you read and
mark them with a pen or pencil. After that, return to the marked words when you
have finished reading. Then, check their meanings in a dictionary and add them
to your vocabulary book.

Tip #3: Try to read regularly. For example, read for a short time every day. Fifteen minutes
per day is easier to manage than two hours every Sunday. Fix a time to read and
keep to it. For example, you could read for fifteen minutes before you go to sleep,
or when you get up in the morning , or during lunch time.

Tip #4: Be organized. Have everything ready-something to read, a marker to highlight
difficult or new words, a dictionary, your vocabulary book and a pen to write
down the new words.

Tip #5: Read something those interest you. Chose a magazine or book about a subject that
you like. This will make reading fun and something you look forward to.

During last holiday, I read about the politic in Malaysia and I excited to know about our Malaysian democracy. Malaysia is a country that practices parliamentary democracy. Parliament is the period from one general election to another covering the period of five years from the date of the first meeting of Parliament held after a General election. In Malaysia, we have developed a multi-party system in which there are several political parties that contest in the general election. All genuine democracies have free and open elections. Free elections give the people the chance to choose their leaders and to voice their opinions on various issues. All of this makes Malaysia a peaceful and fair country.
