Recently, we have heard about Israel attacking Palestine with the most powerful chemical weapons. As a result, thousands of innocent life had been killed cruelly. What have the world done to stop the cruelty? Last week I’ve got couple of messages, urging us to boycott Israel’s based product. KFC, McDonalds, Revlon, Intel and IBM are among the boycotted products. The reason behind the action is to paralyze Israel’s economy. This due to the profit from selling these products was contributed to defray the attack towards Palestine. However, can we live without using all these stuffs? The main reason why I’m questioning is because we are using some of the stuffs in our daily lives.
For the past few days, I’ve gone through our former Prime Minister’s (Tun Mahathir) blog. He was also addressing the same thing but what attracts me most is his opinion about boycotting issue. In Tun’s opinion, boycotting the product will not affecting neither US nor Israel economy, but it shows the displeasure of their action especially US who supplying the weapons to the Israeli army. By reading through an article of former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan Administration, Paul Craig Roberts, it makes it clear why Bush always supports Israel’s action. The master-servant relationship is a strong reason why we should try avoiding buying or using Israel’s based product.

Reuse, recycle, remodel: environmentally friendly materials and techniques are changing the way we build in the West. Resource- and environmentally friendly building--also known as green building--is gaining popularity in the West. Now even the commonest materials such as carpet and paint have green options and are being competitively priced.Green building is about reducing environmental impact, whether in remodeling a home or planning a community. It's everything from energy-efficient and health-conscious design to using salvaged materials.I think that someone can saved their money buying recycled products.Besides,it also heip us provides the greatest energy and resource savings.

From my previous reading, Reader’s Digest edition August 2008, “Why does my GPS sometimes fail to pinpoint my location? And who the satellites in the sky?” .Because of issue with national security, only the military and other approved agencies have access to the Precise Positioning. There are about 800 satellites snagged in Earth’s orbit from 150 to 40000 kilometers away, circling us as we spin. Geostationary ones rotate at the same speed as Earth and like star, appear fixed in the sky. Some of those 800 satellites are no longer working. NASA reports that they may drop back towards Earth or not, depending on their orbit. Some burn fully upon re-entry; others don’t. The US tracks un-burned bit of their spent satellites that happily, usually land harmlessly in the ocean. Aside from feeding information to your GPS, satellites are involved in high-speed internet connections, international phone calls and package tracking. They facilities ATM transaction, help ships navigate, monitor the world’s weather and register climate change by measuring sea ice and ozone thickness. Dozens of satellites are devoted to the task of navigation, a benefit discovered by scientists monitoring the world’s first man-made satellites, launched by Russia in 1957. By using a pair of synchronized clocks-one on the ground, one in the satellites distance is calculated by the amount of time it takes a radio signal to travel between the two. Four satellites can Precisely triangulated latitude, longitude and altitude. Governments may wholly own satellites or operate ones jointly with commercial interests. Major federal owners include the US, Canada, Russia, Japan, Europe, and India. Several of the roughly 300 commercial satellites feed information to major news outlets such as CNN and the BBC. A typical working satellite costs about $390 million to build, launch and insure.

i just read an article about "Challenger yourself to be succes" from Dr. Tengku Asmadi bin Tengku Mohamad, Ph.D..

From the topic,it highlight 5 important point to be success.

1.Put your target or what you want to be on top of everything.
For example, last time we just get 2.5 CGPA but make it different now.Make a new target that we will get 3.0 CGPA.We must challenge ourselves to get that result.Without we realize it,we can improve it and then will get what we want.

2.Jealous with successful people.
This is not wrong to jealous other people but in the good way.If other people can do it,we also can do it.Don't just sit down and give up everything. We still cannot change our life if we did not change it.

3.Avoid from easily being satisfy.
We must improve and learn something new.Don't just satisfy with what we have today. If somebody satisfy in what there have,it will stop them from gain new thing and stop create new thing.

4.Ask yourself with positive question.
f we always say "why we fail","why this always happen to me" it will make you feel lose and be a loser.Ask yourself like "what should i do to improve myself" and something like that.

5.Upgrade your standard. We must challenge ourselves for it.
For example,we are now work as a clerk. We challenge ourselves to be a boss someday. Is it you want to be a clerk till you pension?Of course not right,so start to challenge yourself.

Haiyeee!!!

As time passing by, i wonder that anyone could notify of anything that happen recently. I want to write about something that happen on January 26, perhap it's the Chinese New Year eve but it's not all about im writing here. It's a one of the beauty and unique phenomena that created by the mighty God. It's the solar eclipse or by it scientific name annular or ring eclipse of the sun. Oh, it remind me when i was childhood during rhe primary school. My science teacher teached us how to look the eclipse by using handmade film's glasses! Sure i remember it until now. Generally not much people notify this great pehenomenan but people who love astronomy will be awaiting the day it's comes. An annular solar eclipse occurs when the moon is directly between Earth and the sun but, because the moon is at one of the farther points from Earth on its orbit, it's too small to completely cover the sun.The sun is about 400 times larger in diameter than the moon. But the sun is also about 400 times farther from the Earth than the moon. So when they line up, the moon can cover all or part of the sun to create a solar eclipse.Since the sun's brilliant surface or photosphere never completely disappears, the panoply of striking phenomena seen during a total eclipse such as the corona and prominences and the dramatic darkening of the sky accompanied by some of the brighter stars and planets, will not be seen. Then A strange "counterfeit twilight" falls over the landscape, but it falls far short of even a miniature night, in essence, this is really nothing more than a very fancy partial eclipse. Many sailor or shipboat observer called this phenomenan "ring of fire". In Malaysia, we are lucky had a chance to see it as it's main path reached our motherland so not every part on this earth could experienced it. But at maximum eclipse, the sun will not appear as a ring, rather it will mimic a horseshoe with pointed tips. And so on, be carefull not to see directtly with bare eyes because it will damage your eyes. Even if you are in the path of the annular eclipse you will need to protect your eyes. Since, it a good experienced to see the eclipse and treat our view to the beauty of nature, so romantic...HAha!!
Meanwhile, On July 22, the longest total solar eclipse in the 21st century will take place, as the moon's dark umbral shadow races across central India,China and Japan. At the point of greatest eclipse, totality will last 6 minutes 39 seconds, the longest of any eclipse between 1991 and 2132, it is an eclipse that is eagerly being awaited by millions who live along the path of totality and countless thousands more from around the world who plan to position themselves within the path. Huh!! What a view!!
In the other hand, On January 26, it been rain in Kuantan, so... it's a very disappointed day for me to watch it!!HUhu....

HIGH SPEED AVALANCHES

Although an avalanche can mean the fall of any material e.g. snow, soil and even rocks, in common usage it generally refers to a failing mass of ice and snow which breaks away from the side of a mountain or cliff and surges down at great speed.

So how fast do they really travel? Well, a dry snow avalanche can travel at speeds of up to 225 mph with a force equalling that of a hurricane.

Whatis more interesting is that as the powdery snow hurtles downhill a further blast of air just as destructive may be sent out ahead of the avalanche.

Wet snow avalanches on the other hand travel much slower at around 20 mph, this however does not make them any less deadly.

The greatest avalanches recorded tend to occur on the high mountains of the Himalayas, however those which cause the highest death toll fall in the populated valleys of the Alps.

During my movie maker project preparation, I was interesting with a website about a sport car, Lamborghini. The Lamborghini car made by an Italian guy, Ferruccio Lamborghini whose was the owner of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. At the beginning, this company wasn’t a sport car but much more to a tractor company, but everything start to change when the owner of Lamborghini meet with Enzo Ferrari, the owner of Ferrari company. And their conversion was about the problem of Ferrari’s car until Enzo suddenly said that the problem is not a car but rather is a driver and suggested Ferruccio to look after his tractors. Ferruccio feel like he has been looked down by Enzo, made a decision, he want to defect Enzo in the production of the sport car. With the help of Gian Paolo Dallara and Franco Scaglione, the company starts to come out with a new model of the sport car, Lamborghini 350GT and followed by Lamborghini 400GT. After that, Lamborghini Miura comes out and become one of the most bestselling car in this world because of it elegant design and it well performance. Lamborghini Miura success to catch the world attention, make this small company become well known in the exotic car production. During the last year, 2008, the newest version of Lamborghini, Lamborghini Reveton has been released and I think it the most elegant, unique, and beautiful car and I like it. Since I followed the development of Lamborghini car, I feel so thrill because only one word from Enzo can change a tractor company to become a well – known sport car company and I learn that everything is not possible if your work hard.

Assalamualaikum...

During my Chinese New Year holiday, I start to research some article to put on our English blog and I found an interesting article from reader’s digest magazine about the big rig rule. It told that there are over 70% of accidents involving car and truck is because of the car fault. There are some useful rules that we need to follow as the driver of the car when we met with the truck. First is respect their limit, limit in this content refer to their vision. Usually truck driver has a huge blind spot because of their transport cover some of their eyes radius, so don’t drive beside or nearly behind them. Second rule is use your signals, make sure your know how to use properly your car signal. Make sure when your want to pass them, give them a signal and accelerate your car with a suitable speed and distance and also always alert with their signal. And if you are in front of them, please don’t give a sudden signal when your want to break, slow down and, turn left or right because unlike car, truck need a distance to break and can’t stop so suddenly. Rule number three is anticipating which means you need to cooperate with them. To make sure your safety, please anticipating with them, always keep away from them, maintained your distance and if your want to pass them, please make you’re a brave enough and there are a space for you. If not, just patrol them like you patrol a king but not too near. The last rule is do not become so big head. If you manage to pass them, don’t become so overjoyed and ego, and think you can easily pass the next truck. Respect the other user and them will respect your, and god may bless you on the road.

i think i'm not very late to post this entry..well just now, ijust read about pollution is the main cause of birth defects rise in China.Every 30 seconds a baby is born with physical defects in China. This statement shows the phenomena is going to be serious and will effect the population in China.Researcher found that 10 percent of birth defects were caused by environmental pollution, while 25 to 30 percent were due to genetic factors, and the rest were due to a mixture of both. The major source of toxic emissions from large-scale chemical industries, has recorded the highest rate of birth defects. As we kow, population is very important part in each country's organisation. One of the researcher warned that the increasing rate of birth defects among Chinese infants would soon become a social problem and because of the economy global is not going very well,it will increase the budget for the family and give the heavy pressure for the parents to rise the defected baby particularly for those who live in poor rural areas.

One of the interesting articles that I want to share is about the reasons to smile. As we all know, by keeping on smiling will give us a lot of advantages. One of them is smiling will makes us look more attractive because people love to look at our smily face and smiling also one of the attraction factor. Smiling also can change our mood in order smile can trick the body into helping us change our mood. Besides, smiling also can relieves our stress. As we know, usually stress can really show up in our faces. Smiling helps to prevent us from looking tired, worn down, and tension. When we are stressed, take our time to put on a smile then, we will feelm more better. The other reason is smiling can boost our imune system. When we smile, immune function improves possibly because at that time we are more relaxed.

In the other hand, studies have shown that smiling releases endorphins, natural pain killers, and serotonin. These three make us feel good. For me, smiling is a natural drug to human. By keeping on smiling also can lifts our face so that, it will makes us look more younger. Smiling also will makes us become more positive. When we smile, we will look more confident so that it will motivated us to always look forward and always positive with our life. So, keep on smiling.=)

Wheat: The Origin of a Humble Grain

Do you know that wheat is originated from grasses? One of those grasses was a starchy seeded plant called einkorn (Triticum boeoticum). Human started to consume this grass because around 12,000 years ago, just before the last Ice Age retreated, human in Turkey and adjoining existed on a diet mostly of animals and wild fruits. Eventually around that time, very cold weather hit the region and killed most of the wildlife those early hunters rely on. From there they started to rely on grasses. Wild einkorn crossed with goat grass which is Aegilops squarrosa to produce the first strain of durum (pasta) wheat.

Knowing Obama has taken the duty as the new president of the united state have been such a gift and relieve for the americans, which hoping that he can making improvements from what Bush have left after 8 years of nightmare in all the american's heart. With hopes that obama can settle the economy crisis which have affected almost the world economy,he have make a drastic movement, which i have read in article on Friday 23 January 2009.

The article said:
President Barack Obama has said that Congress is on target to approve his planned $825bn (£608bn) economic stimulus package by 16 February.
His comments came after he met with Democrat and Republican leaders.
While the legislation is expected to face a relatively easy passage - due to the Democrats' majority in both houses - Mr Obama wants bipartisan support.
Various parts of the $825bn (£608bn) package have already been passed by House of Representatives committees.
President Obama said the US was facing an "unprecedented economic crisis" that had to be dealt with quickly.

So I hoping that,it can help change the world.s economy condition, which now is so suffering for us!

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)
Today, I have read an article about Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). BMR is the total of energy release while at rest in a neutrally temperate environment. The release of the energy in this state are important for the functioning of the vital organs likes lungs brain and the rest of the nervous system, liver kidneys and skin . BMR decreases through the age and with the loss of lean body mass. Increased muscle mass will increased BMR.
Besides, BMR is measured under very restrictive circumstances when a person is awake, but at complete rest. An accurate measurement are needed that the person’s sympathetic nervous system not be stimulated.

Assalamualaikum,
Today I had read about “ikan kelisa” at http://ms.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ikan_kelisa homepage. “ikan kelisa” are the most expensive fish in the world. ‘ikan kelisa’ is a carnivore. It also known as “Dragon Fish” or "Bony-tongued Dragon" by most of Chinese. It has the most beautiful scales compares to other fish. That is why it has expensive price. I have a friend that his grandfather had own 3 of “ikan kelisa”. They have different colour that is rainbow colour, siver and gold . His grandfather buy the “ikan kelisa”’s when since it was baby for 8 thousand ringgit each. Then his grandfather bring up the three “ikan kelisa” for 6 years. Then his grandfather sell all the “ikan kelisa”. With money that he get from the sells, he buy a car and some land for his children. We can think how much that the “ikan kelisa”’s price.

I have read about article,NEW YEAR. As we all know,New Year's Day is the first day of the new year. After I read this I know that it also had modern Gregorian calendar, which is this new year is celebrated on January 1, as it was also in ancient Rome. In all countries using the Gregorian calendar as their main calendar, it is a public holiday. It is celebrated with fireworks at midnight as the new year starts. January 1.

As I know, and I think on New Year's Day,people in countries gather on this new year to celebrate it. These events are sometimes known as polar bear plunges. The Coney Island Polar Bears Club in New York is the oldest cold-water swimming club in the United States. They have had groups of people enter the chilly surf since 1903.

I have read that in Philadelphia, the Mummers Parade is held on Broad Street. The Hindu New Year, which falls at the time and date Sun enters Mesha. The hindus celebrate the new year by paying respects to their parents and other elders and seek their blessings. They also exchange tokens of Good Wishes (Kai Vishesham).
In the southern United States, people traditionally prepare a meal of collard greens and black-eyed peas for a year of good luck. A dime is often placed beneath the plate as a part of the tradition.

So,as we all know there are too many ways people celebrate this new year. As in Malaysia, there are teenagers will celebrate it on the new year's eve such as at KLCC.So,I hope this new year-2009 will bring lots of happiness for us. Have a blast 2009 guys!

Wonder Pets! is an exciting new Nick Jr. show for preschoolers. Each episode follows the adventures of three classroom pets--Linny the Guinea Pig, Ming-Ming Duckling, and Turtle Tuck--who travel around the globe helping to rescue animals who need their help.

Like real preschoolers, these three unlikely heroes don't have any actual super powers, but by working together they can conquer any obstacle: "What's gonna work? Teamwork!"

The show features photo-puppetry animation--an animation style created specifically for this series--which allows the animators to manipulate photos of real animals. The result is striking, memorable, and truly unique. Each episode is like a mini-opera with dialog often sung to an original score by some of Broadway's top composers. And each episode encourages teamwork, empathy, problem-solving skills, and an appreciation of music and humor.
